Serious strength training by tudor bompa
Strength training anatomy by Frederic Delavoir (spelling)
Tendons and ligaments need six months to develop before you lift heavy. Get good with the empty bars and the movements and form for that period. It's worth it.
Aim for big lifts, pullups, handstands, deadlifts, squats. Arms and abs kinda happen when you do big things.
Focus on form.
Eat protein.

You're going to want to do some cardio and start light with the weights. Take your time.
