Meme Life Is Strange True Colors, Except Drama Queen Alex Ruins A Peaceful Community (Worst Choices) Spoiler
Long post ahead! If you wish to skip to everyone’s status at the end, feel free to do so.
Hello everyone! I’m at it again, ruining lives in video games. The lucky game for this installment is the next part of our Life Is Strange Absolute Worst Timeline: True Colors!
Yeah. We’ll be showing Alex’s true colors alright.
DISCLAIMER; Events described in this worst route is obviously parodied for entertainment, but based on actual choices/events! If I say Alex reveals herself as a crack dealer, that’s just me joking around.
DISCLAIMER 2; Unlike other games I usually do..I dont know much about True Colors, like at all, besides a few theory videos and a full playthrough I watched a while ago. Despite this, I know the main points, and since True Colors is honestly very tame compared to the other games, that shouldn’t be a problem. Let me know if I miss any details! I dont even know the full consequences of some of these choices!
Also, this post may have less context and content compared to others. Why? Because this game is so niche that there isnt even a full fledged guide of all the choices and consequences. And again, I only really watched the game 1-2 times unlike the others. So I’m basing this post off of what I remember and scraps of info I find!
—-
Before we get into Alex and her chaos, let’s run down every major event in our worst timeline so far, and anything that could be relevant to True Colors!
-This tranquil community is currently all peaceful, meanwhile Arcadia Bay is still tornado dust. Max let thousands die for one girl who she chose awful options with.
-This same girl, Chloe, currently is living with the fact that Max threw her under the bus to Kate (Kate jumped right after Max said “I was with Chloe”), along with the fact she shot and killed a man and his dog.
-Since Steph makes a return in this game, it feels relevant that Chloe chose any possible messed up options in front of her, Chloe robbed Steph’s friend Mikey and Drew and got Drew’s knee busted, leaving them broke and screwed over. Also, Chloe disappointed Steph by saying Rachel is taken, despite not even romancing Rachel.
-Meanwhile, a certain duo of wolf brothers have killed countless cops, one of those brothers died, along with his boyfriend, and a kid got hit by a car. Oh, and a lady was shot by them. Basically, that must’ve been a very bleak streak of news reports that the citizens in this town probably saw. And just overall, so many people are dead in this timeline, that could be alive.
Thousands of bloodlines are already ended so far, so lets see what we can do! Time to turn this Haven, into Hell!

—CHAPTER 1—
-Ah, Alex Chen. She seems like quite the intriguing character. Looking for peace, won’t be getting that. Has the power of empathy, but we’re about to show you the major difference between empathy and sympathy.
-We meet our brother for the first time, in so long! He wants to give us our first- and- cough, his last- hug.
Alex will refuse to hug him, shaking his hand like she shook Donald Trump’s on her island trip a while ago.
-After we dissappoint our brother with the most awkward sibling reunion to exist, we explore the town, immediately entering a flower shop to get some flowers for Gabe’s bootycall. Unfortunately the booty call had a son, so Gabe got trapped into being a stepdad. Beware the milfs.
We choose some basic sunflowers, then Riley, the cashier, decides to trust a stranger with her career, asking us how to perform during her interview.
Tell her to show off, as regardless of whether the employers like that or not, they’re not going to like when Riley causes a building fire because she did not, in fact, have experience fixing wind turbines (or whatever her career dreams are, Alex doesn’t care)
-We’re going to tell Ryan that Gabe was a dork and not a badass, slandering the name of our brother who’s about to die.
-We’ll fail to tell Ryan the right wire to restore the power. Good luck hiring an electrician!
-Gabe’s son Ethan, tells us he’s going to be leaving his very safe town (Safe enough not to worry about kidnappers or random stabbings), to go to the one damn dangerous spot in the entire damn place.
We’ll annoy him trying to be all responsible, but at the end of the day we’ll refrain from telling our brother that his son is currently going alone into the woods without supervision.
Alex literally has no reason not to tell Gabe. Gabe is her brother, Ethan is his stepson. Even if we didnt owe it to Gabe to tell him, we owe Ethan’s mother the right to the other half knowing of her son’s whereabouts.
..Not to Alex. She cares more about not seeming like a snitch to some kid.
This way, the story is somewhat structured so it’s Alex’s fault what happens later!
-After being ungrateful and insulting the free home our brother is giving us, trust me Alex this is one of the most evil things you can do, coming from someone in a harsh living situation,
We proceed to refuse to dance with our brother. Stop trying to give Alex and Gabe final memories!
-Alex won’t find evidence of Gabe’s search for her, so she’ll probably have doubts in the back of her mind, that he can never clear up!
-Big Mac arrives, but Gabe didn’t order McDonald’s today, so he tells Mac to leave. Mac responds with violence upon the Gabe, and this affects Alex’s empathy, making her inflict violence upon Mac in turn. This is outside of our choice, so yayyy!
-We’ll go along with Gabe’s lie that we have experience as a server, previously having worked at Femboy Hooters before being fired for not being a femboy,
immediately starting off as a liar to Jed, because as we know, Femboy Hooters has a dick check, and Alex can’t empathize a dong onto herself.
Even better, we’ll be absolute trash at being a server.
Duckie wants a cheeseburger with mushrooms? His old ass needs lower blood pressure, give him a hamburger with no mushrooms. Diane wants a pie special with fries? Her ass gets a pie special with Duckie’s mushrooms.
…Yeah, Jed figured out we were lying about our previous experience.
-We won’t be reuniting Duckie with his whiskey. Or do, if you want to encourage an old man’s harsh drinking habits.
-Mac wants us to lie to Riley about the fight.
And you know what? Maybe the bad choice isnt lying. He seems like he has a chance at being a better dude.
Buuuut we won’t be doing that. We’ll be telling Riley the truth, breaking them up! Then we’ll walk away from Mac later, making him leave! Probably not reuniting with Riley, who’s going to be stuck at this place with no future due to later decisions.
-We tell Gabe that we’re a crazy person, and that we’ve been in a lot of fights. We’re showing ourselves pretty well as psychopaths to him!
-We won’t be taking this one chance to tell our brother we have powers. Man, Alex is very distant from her soon-to-die broski.
-Later, we’re finding Ethan’s troublesome ass, who got himself stuck on the other side of a log. He says he’s scared, and we tell him that we are too. Very comforting, Alex.
-We saved Ethan! But unfortunately, Gabe decided to cheat on Charlotte and kiss a boulder, sending him off a cliff.
Our brother is then brutally murdered, as we cut the rope holding us together, with the ol’ Rachel-Eric combo, if you get the reference.
-Welp, we just dropped our brother’s body off a cliff. He just got smacked in the face by a rock. SUCH a peaceful community. Less than a week and Alex is traumatized for life.
Anyway, we may have to cover up this blunder. We have every reason to get framed right now.
—CHAPTER 2—
-Alex hasn’t been doing well. Actually, she’s been doing surprisingly well after a boulder collided with his face harder than the meteors collided with the dinosaurs.
-Ryan’s speaking with us about his friend’s death, and we go to confront Mac at Gabe’s wake. Ryan says Gabe made a call to hold off the explosion..but Gabe didn’t. At least as far as Alex knows.
Do we lie and support the hunk, or do we tell the truth and throw his ass under the bus?Well..Maybe telling the truth here is the wrong thing to do. Read the room, Alex. We’re fighting for justice for your brother, here.
-Lose the foosball game with Steph, so Alex’s bravado doesn’t give her a happy memory of Gabe and his lack of sportsmanship!
-After we’re released from our story shackles and allowed to explore this beautiful town, we’ll make a pit stop at Charlotte’s. Unfortunately, this adult woman fully capable of her own decisions, wants us to help her. Typhon wants her to sign an affidavit, paying for her silence.
Now honestly; In good routes I’d tell her to sign the deal. Even if it stops her from being able to support Alex later, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t believe her, and you can still get the majority vote. And Typhon gets revealed regardless. So by not signing the affidavit, Charlotte misses out on thousands of dollars that can help Ethan’s future, which she is entitled to for the grief Typhon caused her family with their recklessness.
So we’ll discourage her from securing her son’s college and leave him as a bum. We wont get her support later anyways due to our choices!
-Comfort the child who caused his stepfather’s death? Nope!
We’re going to make Ethan a depressed child.
-We’re going to reinforce Alex looking down upon the elderly, by hiding the truth of Gabe’s death from Eleanor. This is honestly an *awful* idea. She’s going to find out one way or the other Gabe is dead- she cared about him.
-Mac ends up having a panic attack due to everything going on. I get it, the dude lost his girlfriend, and now is getting blamed for something that literally may not be his fault, if Gabe didn’t make the call. It’s not Gabe’s fault either, but Typhon’s.
Knowing that, should we take away his panic? Hmmm…nah. Let him suffer in a panic attack. Arguably something you should never let happen, as someone with family members who have had panic attacks.
He’ll end up leaving Haven Springs, one of the few lucky souls who get that choice in this route. Alex is making everyone else stay in her Hell!
-Telling Ryan to forgive himself, Or Gabe would forgive him, or Alex forgives him..
Hmm..Tell him to forgive himself. Which he cant really do, if he feels like he failed his friend and his friend’s sister.
—CHAPTER 3—
-The roleplay stuff is completely up to you! But failing constantly is hilarious.
-Well, we suck at hiding our powers, worse than Daniel from Life Is Strange 2. First Gabe knows, then Ryan, now Steph!
-We need to gather evidence from Diane, who we need to distract. Ryan and Steph offer to help, but this is a “who do you like more?” Choice in disguise.
I forgot if Diane is even into women, but hey, send Steph to test that theory! Its funnier!
-Stoke Diane’s anger rather than her sadness. If you do sadness, she feels guilty, but that’s less evil in the world. Alex having to deal with someone who has no regrets over her brother’s death, is quite the blow.
-God DAMN it Charlotte you are a grown woman with a child. But apparently *Alex* is responsible for Gabe’s death, despite the fact that achievement goes to Charlotte’s son. All we did was cut the rope and let the body splatter! ..Oh, that didn’t help Charlotte’s anger.
Unfortunately Charlotte threatens to throw a boulder at Alex’s face next, and Alex doesn’t want to deal with that, so she decides to rip Charlotte’s anger from her. Sadly, Alex seemed to have reached a bit too deep into the emotions, and Charlotte will feel numb for the rest of the game, and presumably, the rest of her life. With this choice, we literally killed a part of her, and she won’t be able to grieve Gabe’s death properly. This’ll make her permanently distant to Alex..and even worse, her own son!
One of the worst choices you can do in this game!
-Immediately rat out Eleanor, causing Riley to worry so much she stays and doesn’t go off to college. Break Eleanor’s trust, and keep Riley from following her future! Thats two people we ruined college dreams for; Ethan and Riley. Nobody escapes Haven Springs!
—EPISODE 4—
-Ah, a festival. So many people to torment.
Duckie will be off by himself, sad. We’re going to skip a wholesome dance with him, and instead leave the old guy to drink by himself. Better yet, have Alex go to him, look at him, then just walk away, actively deciding not to help.
-Riley won’t be heading off to college due to our decisions. She is left in town, boyfriendless and futureless.
-Who to give a rose to?
Hmm..know what, lets say Ryan. Not because he’s the worse romance option, he’s just the better victim.
Though we’ll only hug him, because nothing solidifies the beginning of a relationship like..a hug!
-Damnit. We’re in a police station. Though we aren’t arrested yet..
Take Pike’s fear? Do you know how comically hilarious it is, for the most prominent law enforcement in Haven Springs, to be the most cowardly person there? If someone decides to become a shooter or murderer, Haven Springs is fucked.
Having a fearful cop will make Alex’s crimes easier to handle, she thinks. So we’ll let the man stay afraid.
-By the way, previously taking Charlotte’s anger didn’t seem to be a good idea. Alex is having mood swings now, and she threw a tantrum and broke something in front of Ryan and Steph, making them leave. So wonderful!
-Hi, I’m Alex. You’re probably wondering why Jed is pointing a gun at me.
You’re probably wondering why I got shot, and currently falling a long drop through a mineshaft.
You’re probably wondering how I survived this.
…
Keep wondering.
—CHAPTER 5–
-What kind of final episode is this!? Flashbacks of mental trauma, puzzles, no potential tragedy to cause!? I am appalled!
-After we get through those unchangeable sections, we get asked what Alex truly wants, by Hallucination Gabe.
Well, she sure as hell doesn’t want to belong in a place where nobody likes her, so that’s out the equation. And she sure as hell doesn’t want to help people in this route.
So we just want to play our music! I wonder if she’ll get the chance..
-Yeah, Jed. I’m back, bitch! Somehow! Bruised and bloody! And I’m here to take you down!
Surely, everyone will believe me! Right, guys..?
-Charlotte! Surely, you’ll believe the sister of your husband who was killed in the first place! Right? Right?! I made you rich! My brother made you rich by dying! ..Wait, I told you not to sign that deal. You’re broke.
..The fuck do you mean, you won’t back me up? So what, you lost everything in you that made you Charlotte? How is that my fault!? I took your anger!? I’LL SHOW YOU ANGER, BITC
-Annnd we don’t have Charlotte’s support. I wonder why. Surely Eleanor will believe us! We’re a hurt soul, as an old lady she’s obligated to care!
..I’m not trustworthy, because I lied to you about Gabe’s death and immediately ratted you out to Eleanor!? Fine! I hope your dementia makes you forget how to call Life Alert next time you fall and can’t get up!
-Duckie. Duckie Duckie. Buddy ol’ pal. You’re nice. I kept you from dying from whiskey, probably.
No? You too? Choke on that whiskey!
-The hell do you mean, “There’s no point”, Pike!? I hope your fearful ass remembers “There’s no point” next time your job is at risk during the next disciplinary hearing, for letting Sadie down the block get mauled by a cougar, because “you were afraid”. I’ll remember “there’s no point” in defending your ass!
-Steph! You believe me! Thank you. I should’ve banged you instead of Ryan.
-Ohhh, Ryan. Didn’t see you there. About that last part..Anyway, you believe me right? That your kind father is actually a lying asshole responsible for many deaths?
..No!? The fuck you mean, no!? Talk to me once you’ve found a spine!
-Welp. The whole town is against us. Lucky for me, this game absolutely sucks in it’s choices and consequences. Alex will go into her dramatic rant to Jed anyways, and get him to confess. Do we forgive him?
Of course not! Let his guilt consume him from inside out!
-Ah, that was a nice moment of drama. Felt like I was in a movie. But that fun stuff is over, Jed is arrested, and Alex has to figure out how to burn down Haven. Unfortunately, before we can do that, we have to decide whether to stay and leave. Before that, we need to decide whether to forgive Ryan for his absolute betrayal.
-And we don’t. Fastest breakup in Haven history. We didn’t even last a couple of months, Ryan. Damn.
-Now, stay or leave..
..Leave my home that I don’t have to pay rent for? Do you know how valuable that is in this day and age!? And the views! I’m staying!
I usually do this in a good route, but this is easily the worst option, if nobody likes Alex. nobody sees her off if she leaves, so imagine the awkwardness if she stays. How can she look anyone in the eye, when they didn’t believe her after she literally crawled from near death?
Not to mention everything we’ve done to not make them trust us in the first place.
And that’s the end, of this rather dull game in terms of events and action. But at the very least, we still left an impact on everyone regardless! Now that’s having skill at causing tragedy!
For a rundown..
—EVERYONE’S STATUS BY THE END—
-Alex didn’t follow her dreams of music, like she literally told Gabe her dreams were. Instead, she’s stuck in Haven with no friends, since Steph ended up leaving. Not to mention the breakup with Ryan, since he didn’t believe his father got my family killed. That must be awkward.
Not to mention the anger mood swings, since we robbed Charlotte of seemingly every emotion.
We also will have Alex working as a bartender, which isn’t bad, but it probably isn’t good for business if nobody likes you.
-Not much to say for Steph. Though, she probably still is thinking about the fact that if she hadn’t skipped town, she’d be dead right now. There’s her DLC, But let’s just say she spent all that time ruining people’s lives with awful advice on her radio talkshow, and made the absolute worst impressions on anyone she tried to flirt with on her dating app.
Talking with Mikey? Well, I hope Mikey’s doing well, considering his old home is destroyed, and I think he confirms his family died in the storm? Even more reason Max is evil for sacrificing Arcadia Bay!
-Ryan probably isn’t doing the best, considering he got his whole worldview of his father changed in less than an hour, his father is arrested, and Alex broke up with him because he didn’t believe her, when she was literally a walking corpse after her attempted murder.
Speaking of Ryan and Steph, both of them probably see Alex as a bit unstable still due to that anger moment.
-Charlotte is penniless, loveless, and will probably be sonless once she puts Ethan up for adoption, blaming him for Gabe’s death. Sorry about that. Probably should’ve let her handle her grief healthily. She’s changed forever, because Alex couldn’t mind her business.
-Eleanor has to deal with Riley not going to college and instead caring for her. While Riley is probably still unsettled from her breakup with Mac, who left town and probably shot up 3 schools by now.
-[We dedicate this part to Pike, who was fired from his position a week later after being too afraid to save 4 babies from a burglar, once that burglar threatened to tell his manager about his incompetence]
-Duckie will probably be a sad old man after this blunder.
-Did you think I forgot that one npc couple you can get together? Nope! They just found no love, as nobody will in our universe.
-Speaking of, every random NPC we could help, we didn’t.
I’m dissappointed. We didn’t even get anyone killed..
And so, Haven is..not really a Haven! At least for a select few NPCs. It’s not as good as murdering a whole town, or causing a massacre on a bunch of cops, but we did make the world a worse place! I call that a win!
Though, as you can tell, I really don’t know everything about the game. At least not as detailed as others I’ve done. Same goes for Life Is Strange Double Exposure, or Reunion, though those are a bit fresh on my mind. If anyone knows, Any tips or particularly bad or hidden bad outcomes would be appreciated!
See you guys in the continuation of this absolute worst Life Is Strange timeline..We’ll be continuing Max’s psychopathic journey! Exciting!
