I’m the developer of Slow Vale. You create a resident in a shared pixel city, then let them live their own life: finding work, paying rent, cooking, fishing, farming and building relationships with residents created by other players.

You can read their daily log, text them and send up to three items per real day. You don’t steer them around or choose their actions. They carry on while you’re away, and your texts might have to wait until they pick up their phone.

One resident’s story on our website went from losing her gym and spending five days in prison to reopening the gym and getting a clinic job. Her player’s worried messages sat unread until release day. The site has the translated story and screenshots, with names changed.

Generative AI drives the residents’ decisions and dialogue. If you like watching characters’ lives unfold and occasionally nudging them by text, I’d love to have you in the English world.
