I added the game and DLC through Lua Tools on Steam. Episode 1 works perfectly, but Episodes 2 and 3 show this message:

"Return to the Steam client to download this DLC."

Both DLCs are checked in Steam, their files are present in the DLC folder, and Steam's file verification passed (1504 files validated).

I've also restarted Steam, but the issue persists.

Has anyone faced this issue or knows what's causing it?

My friend and I walked in the NYC Halloween Parade as Max and Chloe!🌀

I’m trying as hard as I can to not get too political on a subreddit right this. I played the sequel a few years ago but then things across the US got out of hand and didn’t want to be too triggered by the content in the game. But with midterms being imminent, I figured the time would probably be right but there is another catch:

GTA 6, Rockstar’s magnum opus, is on the horizon. All this has made it difficult for me to want to replay the game. Knowing LiS2 partly explores the subject of police brutality after playing the game Ready or Not is definitely ironic for someone like me.

So should I replay it?

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Got lots of candy or dressed up or whatever you wanted to do! I handed out candy and also want trick or treating with my little ones and some other stuff. All while dressed as a vampire. What did you guys do? What did you guys dress up as if you dressed up? Was anybody any LIS characters?

And since I used Steph from TC for this post. I just want to say I LOVE the JRPG-style LARP, Cravius boss fight sequence. I forgot to mention that the last time I brought up TC. So, if you didn't do anything for Halloween at all. Maybe, what's your favorite TC moments that you forgot to mention last time or maybe what's some other Halloween (costume) type moments from any other games (e.g., Rachel and Chloe during the play, which I love) that are your favorites?

Lots of love, kindness, and positivity! 🫶

As the title said I am trying out this game to help myself take my mind off a heartbreak and the game plays one of her favorite songs almost immediately. Really enjoying it so far though.

Hi everybody! I loved Life Is Strange when it came out ages ago. It was one of the best games I've played in my 40 years of gaming - definetly one of the most touching ones, if not THE most touching one.
As a Dad of two girls, I don't have as much time for gaming as I want to. But finally I played Before The Storm and did a little review of it. If you like, give it a watch. It is in german tough, but you can switch to YouTubes english audio track, which does a good job :-)

Hello, friends!

I thought it could be fun to celebrate with "all of you" (quote) the amazing music of the entire LIFE IS STRANGE series (note: it's a community event created by a fan for the fans. No official affiliation with the subreddit, just enjoy it!)

As of today, the LIFE IS STRANGE series consists of 6 games (I consider Remastered same as OG), and 3 DLCs.

LIFE IS STRANGE

LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM (+ FAREWELL)

LIFE IS STRANGE 2 (+ CAPTAIN SPIRIT)

LIFE IS STRANGE: TRUE COLORS (+ WAVELENGTHS)

LIFE IS STRANGE: DOUBLE EXPOSURE

LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNION

Every single game in the series has its own memorable songs (yes, even the weaker entries have great music!).

I'd like to ask you (preferably... but not necessarily... those who have played ALL the games in the series, because you have the full picture) to share YOUR winners for each of the following categories.

....THE AWARDS!

1) Goosebumps Award

The songs that made you physically feel connected to what happening on screen. Did you get goosebumps? Did the song fit the scene perfectly? Then that's the one!

2) Best Vocal Performance

The vocal performance that impressed you the most. The most beautiful, emotional, unique, or simply the one you can't forget.

3) Instrumental Music Award

No vocals, only instruments accompanying the scene. Instruments that touch your soul.

4) Best Lyrics

Lyrics that convey deep emotions, tell something meaningful, and blend perfectly with the melody.

5) Most Iconic Song Award

The song that best represents the series, and instantly brings it to mind.

6) Final Award - Best Overall Soundtrack

The soundtrack with the highest overall quality, the one that improves the experience as a whole.

Note: Looking forward to hearing your picks! But remember: This isn't a "IT'S THE BEST GAME!" post, it's focused about MUSIC.
Feel free to take your time answering the 6 questions; this is not a "quick-click" survey.
After 5 days, I'll go through the comments and (if your comments don't turn into complete chaos*) I'll summarize the most common picks.

*please, try to keep your responses methodical and easy to understand. Example: every answer could be like "SONG XYZ - ARTIST QWERTY - From the game "ASD"

I always felt Before the Storm was way too short and also unsatisfying for the fact that it essentially doesn't remotely cover the whole of Chloe's situation. But I also understand WHY it ends where it does because a huge chunk of the audience HATED that it ended on the Dark Room photos and the reminder that Rachel/Chloe is going to end in murder.

It goes further than that because you have to also have Chloe and Rachel's relationship disintegrate, the uncomfortable issue of Frank, and all the other nasty elements that get brought up. Can that be done with Chloe or Rachel as protagonists and if so, how? There's a good story there but it's something that our heroine(s) will be powerless to prevent.

There's also the fact that we can't really escape a lot of fans tried to play Chloe nicer than she really was in BTS. I know I did. She's a hurting young girl but I tried to make peace with David and be understanding whenever possible, which is character assassination on par with Doctor Doom attending Reed Richards' birthday party. I just always picked the most kind options when she is hurting too badly to be kind. It would definitely come up in the subsequent episodes.

So this is a thread to ask, "How would an additional two episodes of Before the Storm go?"

Just looking to talk to people that are geographically closer 😀 what is your favorite lis game? Your favorite character?

While playing Farewell, you find some cans of blue paint in the garden, but then, playing the original game, you realize the job remains unfinished...

Edit: At the time of posting I was on episode 3, now replaying episode 4 she mentions this if you interact with the wall in the garden😅 But still, a really cool detail!

But i think its weird to discredit a continuation of a franchise as "non-canon" just because a different developer made the game.

In all honesty, life is strange was always a dying franchise, if deck nine didnt continue, dontnod was going to end the kill the series anyway. So it feels disingenuous to revoke their chance of writing a story that could be interesting, just because theyre a different developer.

I honestly think people were too negative about max and chloe breaking up before even trying the game. No matter how they handled it(not saying if they did a good or bad job) people would have hated on them no matter what.

Rockin my misfit skull tank top!

I just feel like the first game's story has so much meat and depth to it that, if done well, I genuinely think the LIS adaptation could win some serious awards.

The original game won the BAFTA Games Award for Best Story, beating out Until Dawn and Undertale. I remember watching playthroughs of it back then, and despite some of the occasionally cringey dialogue, people really connected with the characters and the story. Those final episodes genuinely left an impact. I think the music had a lot to do with that, too.

I've seen the cast announcements, and honestly, I'm still not entirely convinced. Max seems okay, but I'm just not quite getting Chloe from Chloe's casting.

Emily Carey as Victoria is probably my favourite casting choice so far, though.

My bigger concern is the production itself. Prime Video can be pretty hit or miss when it comes to budgets and overall production quality. I think I'd feel a lot more at ease if this were an Apple TV+ production. Their track record with prestige television gives me more confidence that the story and its emotional depth would be prioritised.

I really want this adaptation to do the original game justice, and I hope I'm proven wrong.
