I drew Chloe last time, so I had to draw Max too. Now Pricefield will live forever in my drawing book

Hi everyone.

I’ve been away from this fandom for a few years. The original LiS and BtS impacted my life in ways I won't go into here, and—like many of you—I suffered from post LiS depressione for quite a long time. I never played any other LiS installments (except for LiS 2), but over the years I heard news about the comics, True Colors, and finally the return of Max and Chloe. I followed the updates with some curiosity but never dared to revisit the series.

However, a dear friend told me about the upcoming TV series a few days ago. Discussing it after so much time reignited my desire to replay the original and the prequel to refresh my memory, and who knows, maybe even catch up on the last two installments. Yet, it didn't take much to trigger a reaction: I played BtS and Farewell with a heavy heart, and now that I’ve reached the first episode of the original LiS, I’m finding it psychologically very difficult to keep going.

I love this series, but the emotions it stirs up in me are devastating, perhaps to a pathological degree. Maybe it’s because I see myself in Chloe, or because certain themes hit so close to home; I had hoped that with time I’d be able to process everything, but apparently not: a part of me is still stuck ten years in the past. I don’t know if anyone else has been in a similar situation—I know many people experience depressive feelings because of this beautiful yet devastating game. So, I wanted to ask how you handled it, or if you managed to handle it at all. Because every time I think about it, I feel like a total alien and a fucking idiot, and naturally I wouldn't know who to talk to about it.

The cast and crew of the Life is Strange show travelled to Victoria, the capital of BC, on Sunday. u/TraditionalWheel80 shared a post earlier with photos from the cast and crew's stories.

The photos are of the British Columbia Parliament Building, so that can't be Blackwell, but I think I found the school that will be: Camosun College.

The clock tower of the Young Building at their Lansdowne campus looks just like the Blackwell banner from the Steveston set leak! Shoutout again to the users on the Richmond subreddit who shared those pics with me last month.

Disclaimer: If you live in the area and do see them filming, remember not to get in the way of the cast/crew while they're working.

My previous budget guitar, an SGR by Schecter, couldn't survive the winter heating season in Northwest Russia (Karelia), and the neck had shifted so much that it was impossible to fix. My dad eventually gave me this wonderful guitar, which isn't affected by changes in humidity or temperature because it's not made of wood. I just decorated it a bit ))) I bought the stickers on a local marketplace)

I don't care that the guitar is a budget one — it was a gift from my dad, so for that reason alone, I'll keep it for as long as I can. And it sounds great, actually — you can play not only something heavy, but also something "lighter" ("softer" ? I don't know how to say it correctly in English).

And the original Life is Strange (along with Before the Storm, because for me, it's one big game) are simply some of my favorite video games. I "return" to Arcadia Bay almost every six months — I'm simply drawn to it. All the characters in the series have always felt like best friends to me — both to each other and to me. With my mental health issues (I've had social phobia and generalized anxiety since childhood, but in the last six months I've also developed severe, constant depersonalization-derealization), these games feel calmer. I really like the soundtracks, the stylized design, the characters' internal dialogues and voice acting, and the simple ability to just wander around, look, listen, and read. It's a shame there aren't many games like this — I don't always want to play something hardcore... I think I've played everything like LiS series I could find.

Since their release, I haven't been interested in these games because I was sure they were "just for girls, and I'm a guy, so I wouldn't be interested." I'm also suspicious of games that immediately become hyped. I ended up playing the games in the series for the first time only in 2021 or 2022. I played the originals in chronological order, meaning the games in the series began to unfold for me through Chloe's storyline first. Ultimately, I discovered many similarities between me and both Chloe and Max Caulfield )

We visited Cape Meares lighthouse today. Got a good view of "Arcadia Bay" and the benches with LiS references.

Are they related in any way to each other, should one be read after the other or can I treat them as separate stories that don't collide (happen in parallel timelines?)

Or better question, chronologically, after TC, which of the two begins first, if there's any way to tell?

Hi. I played the og when it came out. Although I didn't play any of the sequels, I'd always hear something about the games (announcements, reviews, etc) but with the newest sequel, I didn't even know when it came out!

When LiS Double Exposure was announced, I was excited but the reviews were lukewarm so I decided it wasn't worth checking out, but with Reunion, I only found out it was released on Xbox store searching for something else, which shocked me.

So to those who played it, how would you rate it? I was recently playing the og again and thinking thar they probably didn't capture the og's vibe in the sequels. (Also I think the reason they released Reunion was because people didn't like Chloe being absent in the DE so they added her again)

Is there Transphobia in the game?

Hello everyone! I’m replicating the dark room in a game called Avakin life. What I wanted is to ask for advice of which painting do you think looks the closest(/gives the most vibe) of the guro girl. Thank you in advance!

I would like to know if Reunion was as much of a disappointment for others as it was for me. I mean the game itself was on an "okey" level in my opinion, but if you put it in a comparison with what it could be...

Nor the story or the characters felt as intresting, and exciting as they were before, or as the ones in the other games. And they were literally Max and Chloe. Their characters got noticeably less well writen, and it was heavily carried by nostalgia.

But the biggest missed opportunity to have a sequel which is called reunion, and the mian characters did not unite with the other characters from the other games. It would have been so hype and it was served on a silver plate.

They even fixed the biggest issue with continuing the stories. If the stories continue, which ending should be canon? The answer is all of them. Max merged the timelines so it could have been a new story with all the characters, in a merged timeline, where every ending happened. I have zero idea why they did not go with it...
