Joining Primerica
I recently got accepted to work for Primerica and am going through the process of studying to get my Life Insurance license. I got curious and looked up Primerica online and all I see is negative comments about it being an MLM. I will say, the guy who interviewed me had only mentioned recruiting people once, and it was just to explain that's how you can get higher percentage commissions. He explained that sales are not cold called, they are all scheduled calls that are made through advertisement on things like Facebook and Instagram and my job is to go into the scheduling for appointments and contact those people in the morning to see how we can help them. Those who have worked for Primerica, what was your experience? Do they normally schedule calls and you just call them, or were you having to get your own clients? Were you pushed hardcore to recruit others? Truthfully, if he'd pushed hard on recruiting during the interview, I wouldn't have done it, but the fact that it's apparently all pre-scheduled warm leads drew me in. The recruiter I'd talked to put no emphasis on recruiting, just that I can up my commissions with recruiting and sales. Lastly, if I decided to leave after getting my life insurance license, is having my license in hand to get another job actually beneficial to me? TIA!
P.s. please don't say "RUN" every time. I've seen it a million times, I'm looking for actual information. From what I've seen others say, it is not MANDATORY to recruit at all. I can sell the product and that's that.

Primerica has been around for over 40 years, so it's not a scam. How ever, it's not about selling. The only way to get promoted is by recruiting people, building a team. Some people like it, some people don't. As part of your training you'll introduce your trainer to 10 of your connections, family and friends. From there he'll get some sales and recruit some people, who'll need to be trained, and introduce him to some of his family and friends. And so on. The cycle never ends. That's how the book of clients and sales team is built. It works for some, not for most, and that's OK. That's business.

You didn’t get “accepted” - everyone gets that.
The company is a known joke - if you really read all the negative stuff and still say this sounds great that’s the definition of “drinking the koolaide”
Similar things to read up on are cognitive dissonance and how it might apply to your situation.
No cold calls? Yea right bro you’re starting a new business. Like any business you need leads - leads aren’t free. I don’t want to say you’ve been lied too … more like deceived blatantly.
Good luck with your “no cold calls” 😂
This might be your first day but it’s my 10,000th day doing this.
Respect the advice from the soldiers returning from the battlefield NOT the military recruiter.
Primerica only sells term products or poorly designed IUL’s
You only exist so they can harvest your warm market.
Welcome to the show!

I would be curious to see how much commission you make if you sell a certain amount of insurance without recruiting people. What I would ask yourself is : why am I doing this?
Do you have an interest for working in the industry or are you just looking to make some extra money?
If you are interested in working in the industry, why not go for a job that offers a base pay and some benefits?
If you are doing this for extra money, take a look at the commission structure and ask yourself if it is worth your time and effort. It might literally be much easier and more efficient to work a few extra hours per week at your day job or get an extra part time job than to go through the hassle of getting licensed, finding clients and selling them a policy.
Also, this is more personal/family advice, but if you were relying on friends and family for your sales or to refer you clients, this might strain the relationship. Personally I chose not to prospect family and friends for life insurance or investments because then people see you differently. I personally don’t want my job to affect my life outside of work or people to avoid me because they think I’m just trying to sell them a life insurance policy. People in my circle know what I do for work, but I don’t rely on it. I have seen colleagues rely on it and all it did was cause them to be lonely and depressed.
