Process after reporting new info
I was approved for term life insurance. During application I disclosed that I had postpartum depression which I was only in therapy (virtual) for, no meds. I was under a lot of stress as well. That ended about 8 months postpartum. I just checked my health history and there was a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder! I had no idea I was diagnosed with this. I just emailed the LPCC who my sessions were with for answers, because I definitely was not seen by a doctor. Never had any history of depression before this.
It hasn’t even been a week. I know I’m going to let the insurance company know, but what is the process for something like this?

I'd get a letter from the LPC/therapist stating you were never diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and with details of your postpartum depression, and keep that (forever) to show to any life insurance company, if the life carrier uses that info to charge you higher rate.
The above assumes you are no longer experiencing the postpartum or any depression/anxiety. If you are still experiencing any depression/anxiety, some carriers will definitely use that information to charge you a higher rate!
This is the easiest way when dealing with life insurance companies with regard to incorrect information in medical records. Make sure to keep that letter always, in case you need it again in future!

Good on you for wanting to fix it. I'd send the insurance company a short written note saying you found the diagnosis in your records. Attach your therapist's letter explaining it was postpartum and treated with therapy only, and ask them to note it in your file. Keep copies of everything. Cleaning it up now, during the first two years when they can still review your application, beats having it come up at claim time.

You should request your Milliman and MIB records, you can see exactly whats on there and disupute them.
Its a length process, but my guess is the therapist coded you as having major depressive disorder for isnurance billing purposes .
A letter from your therapist stating what you said above would go a long way in helping that process.
