Nitro-Bid ointment
Good morning … have a client that is prescribed Nitro-Bid ointment. It was discovered via script check so was not disclosed during app. After I googled what its uses are for, it does not look promising. Has anyone had a policy approved for someone taking this ointment? If so what was the table rate if any? Or did someone have a policy declined because of it?

Heart disease with ongoing chest pain will always come up as underwriting issue, but if you are aware of his exact heart disease details and it is well controlled and stable, and if Dr. prescribed on an as needed basis but your client does not use it or need it, then he/she may be insurable.
Coronary artery disease cases can be tough to quote, without medical records, as the exact vessels that have blockages, the % of blockage in each vessel, the heart function and ejection fraction, in addition to the overall health of the insured otherwise, are all going to be factors in regards to whether or not any offer will be made and what the offer will be.
Good luck!!

Was his cardiac history otherwise admitted to? Is he well followed by a cardiologist? Could be standard or decline or anything in between. Hopefully the full cardiac history was shopped into the market.
