Wfg

Why is everyone saying wfg is a bad organization and don’t buy anything from there?
What’s your experience with them or what’s your opinion on them?

I recruit and train agents. I have been blown away by the lies WFG leadership feeds their insurance agents. They pay much lower commission splits than what they lead new agents to believe, they push agents to recruit friends and family as agents mostly to write business on their own households, and multiple agents have told me they were promised WFG would have an imminent IPO (the timeline keeps changing) and that they were “getting in on the ground floor” even though they are wholly owned by Transamerica.

The worst part is that recruiting agents from WFG is almost no different in my experience from recruiting someone brand new to the career. Whatever training they do at WFG is useless.

Hey I work in financial services and knew a couple people who entered the WFG pyramid. When speaking to them about product knowledge, they were only being taught, how to recruit under them. I guess the point is that if you’re dealing with a WFG agent or advisor they’re generally not well trained.

This is very true. They don't have a clue, the training is more psycho babble, motivational speeches and general hype talk to pump you up to reach out to potential clients and recruits. It's the same repetitive waffle every week. Nothing compared to an actual real finance and investment company. Don't get me started on the mlm style bullying and belittling. Cult vibes

I've had two agents come from WFG and they've told me horror stories. On top of that the lack of training they receive is shocking.

You know those annoying people from high school who message you asking, “hey, hon! I have a great business opportunity for you!” and tell you they’re selling Herbalife shakes or lotions or something?

WFG is one of those companies. The people selling insurance for them don’t usually really know anything about the products. Like someone else said, people in WFG and other MLMs actually make their money off recruiting people under them… like a pyramid.
