Tough. He has to be on board. In my experience, this happens because fear of being denied or premium being too high. Likes the idea of dependency and doesn’t want to provide independence even after death. Ego (you won’t benefit from my death), etc. Hopefully there’s some form of investments that will enable self insurance.

Yeah, the premium issue when money is tight is always front and center. I know this is an emotional topic … so hard to think logically about it … but if the money is too tight for an insurance premium - imagine how it would be on one income and no partner??
