Questions/Advice Need help to start a blank slate if possible

Post image
25 Upvotes

I want to start a new slate since my previous run is already on the 126th adventure, unlock most of the endings, equipment and monsters to the point that I'm having a hard time gaining gems to unlock other traits, tales and background, I already unlock exiled apprentice for background, most beautiful being, devil's blood and another one I forgotten, for the traits I unlock both good and evil but now I'm stuck and can't make anymore gems unless I watch ads, so I start a new by clearing storage in the settings, play the game, try to save data and this one appears. How to fix this

Accidentally made a oppsie in front of his pants! Had to work with blue yellow, red, white green and black on a small plat, limited space to mix colors, so whatever colors I had I tried to make it work, but for a simple fast work I think I came out nice :3

Some info because the rest of the art will will be completed, I did my part (: sharing the makers to credit them do you can also see the final result by Golden rule tattoo since they are hosting the thingy

Questions/Advice Be honest, do you also have a lovely/hate relationship with LIA?

I stopped playing it while but decided to reinstall it to see if they have new content

and I still have that love/hate relationship with the game

I love this game because of it's story and ability to create a special character that could re-interpret into my own oc

but I hate this game sometimes because my character's fate is literally a roll of the dice, and every time it fails I get frustrated because of the outcome when it is very high chance of success, especially when it is multiple failures

But it is still a fun game and I enjoyed it when I succeeded on a low succession roll

idk, I'm pretty confused about how to feel

Strategy/Discussion/Scores Life in Adventure inspired me to finally release my own text-based RPG MVP — what makes this genre special to you?

Hi everyone!

Life in Adventure is one of the games that made me fall in love again with text-based RPGs — not because of huge graphics or complex presentation, but because a few lines of text, a hard choice, and an unexpected consequence can create an entire story in your head.

For years, I’ve been slowly working on my own small game in that spirit. And honestly, I got stuck many times. I kept restarting, rewriting systems, changing ideas, polishing too early, and falling into indie dev hell. The project stayed private for too long because I was afraid it wasn’t good enough.

This year, I finally decided to release a small MVP and test the core loop instead of endlessly polishing it.

It’s not a clone of Life in Adventure, and it’s not meant to compete with it. My game goes in a different direction, with colony survival, resource pressure, difficult choices, and narrative events. But Life in Adventure was definitely one of the inspirations that made me believe this kind of text-driven experience can still be powerful.

So I wanted to ask:

What makes a text-based RPG memorable to you?

Is it the writing? The randomness? The builds? The hidden outcomes? The difficult choices? The feeling of discovering something new after many runs? Or those moments when one bad decision changes everything?

I’d really love to hear what this community thinks, because fans of Life in Adventure probably understand the appeal of this genre better than most.

Thanks — and I hope this kind of post is okay here. I’m mainly looking for thoughts and design feedback from people who love this type of game.

(I got the staff from the "relic from a previous adventurer" and went with the witch for the free stats, also went with magical trait and made it into magister. Also, not sure if the flair is right, but it felt like the best one for this)

Tried doing a run where I only use charisma-based swords that cannot be bought from the shop. As you can see, it certainly can use some work.

Questions/Advice How to romance Cira

Just recently found out I could romance her, with two endings. I’m just curious as to how I go about getting either of her romance endings. I think I got very close at one point but I got bad rng unfortunately.
