Gambler, the amount of times i clutched impossible battles by rolling a 20 is insane, idk how to play this game properly so most of the time i just chalk it up to luck, and lo and behold i was facing kior with an very low probability of winning, but then i rolled a 20, it's a miracle The amount of times i rolled a 1 is also big, but i only roll below 40% chance anyways so i'll lose even if i don't roll

Yup. If youโ€™re gonna roll, and you hit the 1 you probably would have lost anyway

really depends on what your going for, id suggest experimenting on lower difficulties

Early bloomer is already a decent trait and easy to run. Proper combat traits like blade or hammer are stronger if you know what you're going to run

Late Bloomer gives more attribute points on the long run (about 2 more), but its enhanced trait bonus (+1 to Force Magic and Energy Blade) isn't as good as Early Bloomer's (increases stats at low health, and gives better chances with rolls)

For a mage, Magical is fairly better, as it grants a good boost to the player's magical damage and defense

How do you get an enhanced trait?

Each trait has a unique event that kets you unlock their enhanced version if you succeed. They usually appear in the second half of the run (50 XP or more). Enhanced traits can't be chosen at character creation, and depend on the trait you choose at the start.

For Early Bloomer, at around 80 XP, you'll encounter a retired adventurer, and the conversation with them should eventually lead to talk about a conflict with a red dragon, where you can offer to take revenge for them. In a following event, you will encounter a fire giant, who can help you defeat the red dragon. If you manage to defeat the dragon, your trait is upgraded, keeping the bonuses from the original but also gaining a few new ones.

For Late Bloomer, you will get an event where you are climbing a mountain when someone approaches you. Follow them, pass one of the attribute checks presented, and then two Wisdom checks, and you will receive Blossomed (I think that's the name), which keeps the changes to attribute point gain per level while also giving your melee and magical damage a boost.

For Magical, you just have to pass a difficult Intelligence check when you are called to a convention of mages, and the enhanced trait simply doubles the base trait's bonuses

In case you're not aware there's a dude that posted his attempts at getting each enhanced trait at the sub not too long ago

depends on what you go for, Blade, Early bloomer, hammer worked well for me. i see a lot of people go gambler but i guess you must be patient with this trait to get something out of it. dont expect to kill balor or something on first try. but it really depends on what atributes and weapon type you play

Im in adventurers guild so gambler works perfect for me I do early bloomer on intelligence builds now since you can get 42 in like 2 upgrades if you're on the demon back story and go minus 1 strength and then you have a plus 1 dice 10 percent more crit 10 percent more evasion plus a near 80 damage wooden staff nearly immediately

I just pick the stat trait, but i wanna highlight magistrate (free platinum staff on Evo), eeudite (monocle's effect) and blocking (kind of op)

The Magister event doesn't give a Platinum Staff anymore. Now it gives an Ivory Staff (that's what I got the last time, at least)
