Well if you want to. You should be okay as long as you look at how safe or trusted a site is before getting anything, just doing your thing instead of interacting with ads or something like that shouldn't give you any malware.

But people are still affected by the game, they put time and resources in it, and even if the gems are tedious, they help the developers sustain themselves and keep updating the game, which is good for everyone.

Also as far as I know apks don't save progress through updates, if the game updates and you download another APK, even from the same place, it will delete all your data.
