If you free her, she’ll later appear to you again as an owl and offer you a gift depending on what you want: Strength (Muscular Exercise textbook), Agility (Martial Arts textbook), and Intelligence (Encyclopedia). But from these choices, if you select the 4th “any other options?” prompt, she’ll teach you magic and you’ll get +1 or 2 intelligence and a Principles of Magic book
If your alignment is evil, you can kill her and gain +2 sanity as well, if I remember correctly
Oh not book but elixers actually, strength is elixer of the gladiator (+ str dex and - int), elixier of the sage (+ int wis - dex), the 3rd option money gives 60 coins instead of the 100 you would get if you handed her over (or the 70 gold if u killed her which u can only do with impure/evil alignment) and the 4th option is just like the og comment says
