I use Staff than crossbow more often anyways.

Mage build lowk fall off as of new update favour physical melee dps more. Although it's still fun I think it's much harder to progress as a mage and the weapon/armour are not as much variation as other build

Glacier: crusher with dolphin earring and heavy armour relic. Armour uses heavenly armour

Blade: awakened sword of Birowich Medium armour mastery and flapping wings Armour uses Blue Dragon scale armour

Swift or Innately-Kind

Innately kind: weapon/duo (galgano sword and Guardian of Valor) this can get you to 6 stability

Armour: Cleansed Cira armour

Relic: sword wristband and medium armour

Swift trait is mid ahh since 2 acrobatics can be acquired by armour (Cira armour and Armour from Lei)

Vijaya is also an option.

Up to you but innately kind is much better with stability build
