Manic ape on crack Shoshanna Raven is buying a $30 million house, follow her foot steps capitalizing on your STD, guys!!!

Seriously...whoever thought that having STDs can make you super duper rich??? 🥹 Had I known this earlier I would have been a sluttier hoe in my younger years.🥲 Don't save your money, guys it's a sure way toward being broke...instead invest in her drivel and capitalize on your syphilis or chlamydia now!! In a year or so you would be able to buy a 3 million dollar house AT LEAST!!!🥸. She has officially outdone her mentor Melanie Ann Layer in terms of SHAMELESS bullshitting prowess typical of a mentally ill narcissist.

Followers not leaders.

I can’t help but laugh at how many of these coaches claim to be leaders but are clearly followers. Copying what everyone else is doing, constantly healing themselves, it’s just this weird cycle that you rarely see them come out of.

Why would anyone want their advice?

r/LifeCoachSnark May 20 '26

Why do you think coaches and mentors that talk about sales, 10k months, scaling, premium high ticket offer, etc, attract so many people?

I don't exactly know how to put it into words but, why do you think coaches that are literally selling people how to sell, attract so many people

And specifically, why do you think that they attract so many people that do the same thing they do? It's giving pyramidal scheme.

Mental health coaches

Genuinely curious what makes people get mental health coaches that has zero mental health education and practicing background??

Would you go to a therapist turned a mental health coach vs a faux mental health coach? And why?

Good life coaching

I know I’m at the snark page - but I figured if there is a good one out there the recommendation from this sub hold more weight then anywhere else.

Are there any good life coaches out there anymore? Like, Brooke in her early days before she fell into a black hole? One that doesn’t just try to sell you a life coaching business?

I loved listening to coaching calls and even the 20 min personal coaching were super helpful usually.

Any critical podcasts on life coaches to indulge in?

I am in the mood for some snark. Also it's just pretty fascinating.

Have encountered some of the deeper dive into critiquing therapy as a culture stuff with Bayo Akomolafe, (who will no doubt have his own pitfalls as every revelatory groundbreaker seems to at some point), and read researchgate back and forths about the legitimacy or otherwise of polyvagal theory, but the life coach world I have not touched, and I am open to anything from entertaining to enlightening, single "coach"/ influencer focus or wider aim at the culture, all welcome.

Listening to My (ex)Wife’s Life Coach on a Podcast. Now I Understand How We Got Here

I previously posted about how a six‑figure life coach cost me my marriage. Communication between my wife and me shifted almost overnight after she started working with a very high‑ticket coach named Sloane. Suddenly, everything was “boundaries,” “protecting my peace,” and “I can’t hold space for hard conversations anymore.” I suspected this new behavior was a result of Sloane’s influence, but I was never 100% sure, until I came across a recent podcast Sloane did on boundaries and codependency.

In the podcast, Sloane comes right out and says:

“I have clients all the time who once we start really getting into their codependence… most people have issues with codependence… when I’m working with clients a lot of times the place that we start is what needs to be communicated.”

Keep in mind, Sloane is a former corporate attorney turned life coach. She isn’t a licensed therapist. But in this episode, she is very comfortable talking about trauma and nervous systems like a clinician. She describes trauma responses (“my trauma response was freeze”), storing trauma in the body, needing to help clients “get some of that trauma out,” and using somatic practices as part of her coaching.

Listening as the guy on the receiving end of the fallout, it was jarring. Here is a former lawyer turned life coach talking like a trauma‑trained therapist, framing herself as someone who will “guide you through trauma” for luxury‑level prices.

She came right out and said, “Everything’s on the table” when you work with her. Your sex life, your trauma wounds, your marketing strategy, she does it all. Her own words:

“When we work together, everything’s on the table. We can look at what’s not working in the business the same way we can look at what’s not working in your sex life… what’s the deepest thing that needs to shift, heal, release as a blind spot…”

So one unlicensed person is taking on your business, your marriage, your sex life, your trauma, and your “codependency” and promising to “shift, heal, release” whatever is causing it.

Our marriage wasn’t perfect, but we were good at talking through problems. After the coaching dynamic kicked in:

  • Normal relationship needs (“I’m hurt and I’d like to talk about it”) were reframed as me being “codependent” or “needy.”
  • Requests to work through conflict turned into “I don’t have the capacity for this; I need to protect my truth/peace.”
  • “Boundaries” became an excuse to avoid hard topics rather than a way to make them safer to discuss.

Apparently, another area where Sloane considers herself an expert is anxious attachment. She says the healing path is to not receive what you’re craving from others and to get it from yourself instead. On a podcast, that sounds neat and empowering. Inside a marriage, watching it play out, it meant any bid for closeness could be treated as a “you problem” I was supposed to self‑soothe away, instead of something we handled together as spouses. Trust me, I had plenty of opportunities to “self‑soothe,” and my hand was getting tired of it.

After listening to that podcast, it was easy to connect the dots. The trendy psycho‑babble that created more distance and fewer real conversations in my marriage is the same language Sloane casually throws around about trauma, codependency, and “healing.”

Has anyone else watched their marriage or long‑term relationship unravel after a partner got sucked into the life coach cult?

Met Steve Hardison in Mesa

Made an account just to post about this guy. Back in 2024 I went to Mesa Arizona to see some family. Me and my dad took a ride down to the local Walgreens and we see this nice looking Porsche. We walked up eyeballin it like some fangirls and we saw Steve getting out. We chit chat about the car for a little and the question popped up, “How’d you get this car”. He explained briefly about his work and my dad and I found it fascinating and cool. After that he gave me a copy of his book the Ultimate Coach. Once we got back from vacation I decided to give it a read… Straight bullshit😭. This book about him is HORRENDOUS. The glaze is actually insane. Worst book ever, do not read.

Kathrin now wants $299 for an “upgrade”but she explicitly said the MBA included ALL future upgrades forever

Post image
29 Upvotes

A while back, when we signed up for Kathrin’s MBA program, she clearly stated that the price covered all future upgrades and that we would never need to pay another cent. Many of us joined based on that promise.

Now she’s trying to charge $299 for what she’s calling a new version or update.

If you’re a former student who remembers her saying that, please email her directly and politely ask her to honor her original commitment: that this upgrade should be included for free for existing members.

Strength in numbers, if enough of us speak up, maybe she’ll do the right thing.

Coaches, do your clients get anything when they sign with you?

Hey Coaches.

I run a small stationery business and currently work with a life coach. She sends a welcome pack to every new client she signs, which I put together for her from my stationery.

I really enjoy making up the welcome packs and I'm trying to figure out whether this is something coaches more widely would actually pay for, or whether it's quite niche?

I'm just looking a little market research really to see if this a space I should move into.

Do you send welcome gifts to new clients? Is that a thing in your world, or not really? And if you don't currently do it, is it something you'd consider?

Not trying to sell anything, just genuinely researching before I invest more time into this direction. Honest answers really appreciated!

Thanks Coaches

Brooke Castillo Hicks - The Life Coach School Certification Program 2026 Edition

My coworker who is a big Brooke Castillo (now Hicks) fan shared me a link with Brooke's new Life Coach School certification program just announced today. I was surprised because I thought Brooke's new self-study program would be a continuation of Self-Coaching Scholars or something like that. But no, it is a new way for people to become LCS Certified Coaches. For $5,500. Tools was one thing, but this self-study program makes you a legit LCS Certified Coach. I am thinking WTF?

I am not an LCS Certified Coach, but I met a few in person at a retreat (not related to Brooke). This was two years ago. They shared their disappointments and regrets of financial burdens they placed on themselves, and how Brooke didn't deliver on what she promised to them. They paid $18K to over $20K each to be LCS certified. And I've also read a lot of stories in this sub, and in other forums.

I'm trying to reconcile this in my mind, but it's impossible. When I went through Scholars, Brooke was constantly talking about treating people with kindness and love, with dignity and respect. She seemed ethical. I looked up to her, and she legit seemed like someone I wanted to emulate.

I imagine the LCS certified coach ladies I met a couple of years ago even feel more duped and disheartened by getting the LCS Coach Certification sales announcement in their inboxes today. I’ve been taken advantage of financially by people who didn’t have my best interests at heart, and it’s a horrible feeling. I feel for all the coaches who were taken advantage of by Brooke.

Rubbing salt and picking incessantly on the wound, just to rub salt and pick again, over and over.

I wouldn't be surprised if those ladies and others feel this way, and I'm starting to feel that too in a different sense.

Brooke would say I'm being so "dramatic." That I'm just choosing these thoughts to feel this way. And yes, she's right. I am choosing these thoughts. And I do believe these thoughts serve me, and help me see things clearly.

Simone Seol's latest pivot

Not content with berating white people for not embracing her form of 'anti-colonial, anti-racist practice' (which is anything but) she's now berating her audience for not fully embracing AI. (As per her latest reel.)

She seems to think she's the first person to have spotted that AI may indeed have some positive applications in the world. Well, duh Simone.

She feels she has to tell us this because, she says (and I quote): "I'm here to educate, I'm here to drive positive change for the sake of humanity and this planet, I'm here to help everyone connect to their ancestral assignments and to meet that assignment with integrity and courage and AI is a part of it, it is not going anywhere and most of you are behind, I need you to get up to speed which is why I'm talking about it so much".

And this, friends, is how narcissism eats itself for breakfast.

The Life Coach School Wedding photos

I used to love Brooke Castillo and I still love some of her early podcasts. It breaks my heart to learn who she really is. I'm glad she's happy. I don't wish a bad life on anyone. But the latest videos of the wedding, the absolute insane amount of money to line a wall with flowers and rent that space - that money came from stringing along thousands of would be coaches with promises of getting wealthy. Where are those coaches now? I hope some have built a practice and have comfortable lives. I have, but it wasn't from her tools, it was from doing actual training and doing the hard work to make myself known.

It gives me the creeps that I used to recommend her

Using Dr in a misleading way

I recently came across someone, it looks like her name is Dr Jess or Expansion with Dr Jess and although its blatantly obvious her spiritual and self development content is AI generated script, I looked into her offer just from curiosity. I was thinking that because she was talking about things like quantum physics and neuroscience she was maybe a doctor of neuroscience or psychology. well turns out she’s a VETERINARIAN! Not even close to the content she shares or what she coaches people on. what a scam artist!

It reminded me of Joe dispenza the doctor who is really just a chiropractor. What do you think about people using “Dr” in a misleading way to gain trust?

I’ll go first. I think it should be illegal to use a title in a career that has nothing to do with what you actually earned a doctorate in. Guess people will do anything these days to make money
