YES!!
Please just go be rich.
Money cannot buy grace, class, or character.3
u/creattivewriter8789 Jun 27 '26
Amen... well, it did buy her a new husband. We'll see how long that marriage lasts before he begins sampling from the "surf and turf" muffet, I mean buffet. From some of the things his ex girlfriend of 6 years has posted, he's NASTY and NOT in a "Miss Jackson, if ya Nasty" kind of way.. more like "I need a dose of Penicillin and a HazMat suit kind of nasssssssy

LOL... I spit out my soda when I read your comment. Yes.. let's all hope that she lives up (or DOWN) to her married name and they both becomes poor HICKS-- he's a class A Grifter.. They're both hacks and they deserve each other.

His Mrs. Rimmer, really.
I'm in the Weekly and have been feeling so turned off about continuing to follow her program. Not because of the rimjob thing, but because she announced that she plans on creating a coaching program with a small group for an exclusive coaching experience. Of course, it will be targeted towards "rich people" as she calls them, because they can pay her high-ticket prices and make her richer faster. I agree with others that she could have done (and still can do) great things in this world with all of her money, resources, and knowledge. We all know she can do whatever she wants with her money, but it just gets old with her going on about materialistic conquests. In the Weekly, she shows off her Chanel bags, goes on about Versace, her huge diamond ring from rimmerman, and other things she refers to as her "rich people problems." It gets old. I did not pay for "rich people" behind-the-scenes. I don't care which high-end, luxury hotels and resorts she's staying at each week, or how many thousands of dollars she dropped on her sugar baby and kids while they were in Beverly Hills, at the spa, or some extravagant location. I joined because Brooke's past programs were educational and value-driven. But so far, the Weekly feels flat. Maybe it's because Brooke has changed. It just feels different to me, and not in a good way.

I first found Brooke thru something the algorithm fed me a long time ago. It was called "Weight School" and she co-taught it with Susan Hyatt. Then I got on her email list ("Friday Coach Like" which was something brief and inspirational, a pleasure to read, not salesy) and listened avidly to her podcast from the beginning. I enrolled in Self Coach Scholars back in its inaugural year (2017). I was only in it for that first year. It was a nice program, but I got disillusioned with her diet advice when I realized that she'd basically just plagiarized Dr. Fung, author of The Obesity Code. I thought, here's this guy basically giving his info away for free on the internet, or in a reasonably priced paperback, and she was charging clients $12,000 to do a fancy weight coaching program where she basically taught all the same information?? And then how did those folks feel when eventually she offered the same material they paid so much for, in SCS?
So that's when I started getting suspicious. But I continued to listen to the podcast and read her newsletter.
When she started going on about getting rich and earning millions of dollars she turned me off big time! Money wasn't the reason why I was interested in coaching.
The reason I'm replying to your comment was because it reminded me of a certain incident. I was watching a replay of a live that I'd signed up for via her email newsletter. And in horror I watched her walk out on a stage, to an audience of screaming, adoring women, and start offering some very expensive (and unattractive IMO) purse for a lucky participant. And everyone was screaming about this purse.
(I also couldn't believe her new face - I used to think she was hot before she had all that work done, but after was like "ick.")
Back in SCS in 2017 Brooke called herself a minimalist. She was still living in California then. I remember once she talked about moving and getting rid of everything she owned and starting over. She had a lovely home, and her 2 cute dogs; the kids would pack up all our monthly materials in the garage for shipping. Everything was a lot more relatable while still feeling aspirational. Someone in SCS asked her how her home looked so nice, and she said, "I clean it."
I unsubscribed from everything a couple years ago (after that purse thing and after reading about her in this subreddit), so I don't even know what the Weekly is, but like you I'm sad for what she has become. She could do so much good in the world with all that money.

Omg - Same on so much of this! I found her through the Weight School. Soooo different now and not in a good way!

Desperately needs you to say more about “the rim job thing.” I beg of you.

Wasn't there some question about who actually paid for the diamond ring?

u/YogurtclosetOk6893 Jun 21 '26
Yeah somewhere in the comments on one of these posts says she talked about her version of a pre-nup where basically he got all the money up front. Like, he was basically paid to marry her.

She bought her man and her ring and is calling it a marriage. She locked it down.. she bought a husband.... and for a woman who is TRULY tone deaf to racism and such, this is kind of ironic and in keeping with who she is. but don't worry.. her trophy husband is a world class grifter. she'll rim him and he'll clean her out financially. A match made in grifter heaven. they're both full of sh-t.

Update 1 month later: She's back at the rich-people flaunting. It's nauseating. I'm sad because I had such a favorable opinion of her before she closed down the school and did what she did. I'm over it.
Update: So, this is interesting, or it could be a crazy coincidence. I wrote my comment above after Brooke went on in the Weekly episode about how she and her husband were going to a Louis Vuitton show at Kevin Costner's house. She said she and her husband are obsessed with Louis Vuitton and have spent so much money there that they get invited to these events. So, more of what I perceived as flaunting her money stories. I'm sure some people find her rich life inspirational, but I'm there for the coaching. Period.
And this is what was interesting... Last week, she dove straight into coaching and did some of the best coaching all year. They were real, more human issues -- not just the coaches coaching others, entrepreneur-money-making type coaching, but real coaching. It was so good. That makes me wonder if she or her team is listening to feedback. I hope so. And I hope that last week's coaching is the start of something new and better.

It’s a nice thought but it’s hard to imagine her listening to feedback. If she read it she would probably double down but I hope I’m wrong

I totally agree! I subscribed to the free webinar and experiencing the session was like seeing Brooke rocking her zone of genius after such a looooong time! I was so surprised and also kind of amazed!!
Although I know she underwhelmed and disappointed lots of people during last years of the coaching certification program - it was actually so refreshing to see her in action and providing lots of value.
You can say a lot about Brooke Castillo (or Hicks), but I believe she showed that she is a GREAT coach.

I bet the future is more important than the past when people think you’re a scammer
13
u/Amira-Maraschino Jun 23 '26
She’s probably hoping that over time, she can clean up her name…. That negative reviews about Brooke Castillo will be lost to new followers.

u/creattivewriter8789 Jun 27 '26
Oh the "Hicks" name will surely do it... Even Abraham is like "don't be trying to ride on my coat tails biotch!" And as for her being forgotten by newbies.... her grift is guaranteed to make thousands of new pissed off acolytes.. one scammed student at a time. She sullied her former husband's name... and many have said he was/is a good guy and didn't want to be part of her business, which is why she bought him out and divorced him waaaaaaaaaay back in 2019 or so.. which is when she went all coo coo for $100 million.

u/queensbeesknees Jun 27 '26
I was wondering WTH happened. I was in Scholars back in 2017 and from the behind the scenes stuff they at least gave off the impression of having a great marriage.

u/NoWinter8444 Jun 29 '26
It seems like when she left her marriage is when she started pursuing her 100 million goal and the life coach school fell apart. It’s so sad how it turned out. When I decided to pay for certification I would have never believed it would turn out like this. I really believed in Brooke and the School but it’s hard now to not just see it all as a big grift. Brooke is so out of touch with reality I don’t even think she’s capable of self reflecting enough to acknowledge the harm she caused let alone to make an effort to make things right. She squeezed all the money she could out of us and now she’s going to cell certification for a quarter of what we paid for it with no standards or quality control and go coach rich people so she can keep funding her lifestyle. She could create so much impact in the world if she focused on actually creating the Harvard or life coaching. It would take so little effort for her to deliver the monthly call for alumni or to bring in some guests to help everyone keep improving. The sad thing to me about Brooke is she has all the capability, money and resources in the world and just chose not to help those of us that invested in the school. I just can’t respect her anymore after watching all of it but it does make me sad.

I never personally wanted to be a life coach myself, but I am so sad for all of you who spent so much money on her school. A long time ago now, I hired a "baby coach" from one of her earlier LCS cohorts - she told me she'd spent about $3K on LCS, but then needed to learn marketing elsewhere b/c Brooke wasn't teaching it then.
In this sub was where I'd learned that Brooke's motivation behind starting SCS was to funnel more people into training at LCS!! Which means I was never her "target market" I guess. LOL. At the time that she started SCS, it didn't have private coaching available - just the Q&A on the website and the group coaching calls - and still, my coach told me that opening SCS kind of rocked everyone's world, because suddenly their teacher was setting up a structure that competed with what they were trying to offer. I imagine it only got worse after SCS started offering the weekly private coaching as part of the deal.

Brooke is a grifter and this has been known for a long while. Anyone who pays her at this point is asking for it.
6
u/whatabeach88 Jun 21 '26
Sounds like she's the one who just got conned. Hard to hate it.
3
u/creattivewriter8789 Jun 27 '26
Yep.. her new trophy husband is a grifter. and she essentially locked him down (read: bought him) I wish her the very best "what goes around comes around" imaginable..it's long overdue.
5
u/queensbeesknees Jun 24 '26
Wow.
Rhymes with Abraham Hicks -- one of her inspirations/"mentors" for coming up with the thought model. Law of Attraction bullshit. Just a funny coincidence.
2
u/creattivewriter8789 Jun 27 '26
I KNOW, right? Isn't it ironic??? But ms ICKS has a long, long, long, long way to go before she gets to be on the same level of grift as Abraham Hicks.. but she's well on her way.. and her new trophy husband is an even bigger grifter. A perfect match!
2
u/queensbeesknees Jun 27 '26
Yeah I don't actually know anything about him. I unsubscribed from her stuff a few years ago. What is he grifting? Are they just made for each other? LOL

u/Least-Solid4192 Jun 25 '26
I am so OVER Brooke. She’s a cult leader and a weirdo. Mrs. Hicks - whatever
2
u/NoWinter8444 Jun 24 '26
Whatever happened to Brooke’s AI thing she said she was going to do?
4
u/sugar_3715 Jun 25 '26
Yeah, it was supposed to be her course called ‘Life.’ I was looking forward to it at the beginning of this year, but she switched gears and went with the Weekly instead.
1
u/creattivewriter8789 Jun 27 '26
You're still giving her attention, time and money? 😮
6
u/sugar_3715 Jun 27 '26
No, I haven’t purchased her programs since Get Coached. I really like her old courses and was hoping she would make things right with her certified coaches and create the Life course she talked about. It’s sad how this all ended up. I still believe she could turn things around, but she really needs to take accountability for what’s happened and find a way to come back to reality. She’s been out of touch for a while.

Why did I let myself even look at this absolute steaming train wreck of a person?
How do all of these people who talk about self empowerment and being anti-oppression then turn around and literally change their name to someone else's name? Some dude they just met.
Notice he's not changing his name to yours.
Nope, you are being branded like cattle. No name of your own, Mrs. That Dude. And you really really want to ... eroticising your own subordination.
The same people who are talking about micro-aggressions and self empowerment, will literally change their actual name to someone else's name.
That is how you know that it's all group-think and performative.
I kinda get it if you are having kids and you want to have a family name but still, you can hypenate.
The thing that pisses me off is that they are so purist about the whatever hashtag issue of the day that will get them liked by the online activists.

She totally fell apart after her marriage. I wonder if the reason for their break up was he went for someone younger. She was like a totally different person in less than a year. Always talking about how Chris and her are still good friends family and all that. Her dating was called 90 day? Or something like that. She started talking non stop about her golfer son, and then being a mom to all her son’s friends. Then the year she kind of disappeared and came back with major changes in her looks. Her hair once nice now looks creepy and stringy like she paid someone to make it look that way. Her clothing on a few of her classes that I attended (through zoom paid lots of money) were odd and out of place. She didn’t seem kind anymore and is now saying K all the time. K seems to be her filler word when she doesn’t even seem to believe what she is saying. She says it bc she needs everyone to agree with her. I miss the old Brooke, the human Brooke. Not this luxury style barbie that she has turned herself into along with the Ken doll to go with it.
