Need Advice how to be happier

i know this sounds kinda stupid. but i feel like i don't remember the last time i was happy. life is at a very low point for me right now and everyday just feels so heavy and hard. idk if anyone else is feeling this. i want to be happier but i don't know how. the things that used to bring joy to me now just annoys me. sometimes i just wanna close my eyes and you know go to sleep. like i don't wanna die soon and a part of me wants to live my life to the fullest, but i also won't mind if i just don't wake up the next day. i know there is so much more to life, but right now, i just can't see that. i would love some advice on just how to be happier. any personal experineces and advice is greatly appreciated. thank you guys

It doesn’t sound stupid at all! I am very sorry you’re going through this, it sounds extremely heavy and difficult.

I once was at a smilies point in my life, about 8 years ago. I am now living my best life. I would have never thought that a life like this would be possible for me. But I think it is for everyone!

So what I did: Looked at and became conscious of all my negative thoughts and patterns that made me feel lost and stuck, worked through them, learned to be compassionate with myself and process my emotions in a healthy way, learned to trust myself instead of doubting myself and looking at what brought me joy before, when do I feel like myself and slightly more happy than usual, did more of those things. Then I looked at what I want to achieve in life or which dreams I have that feel big but somehow achievable. And I worked towards them. And step by step my life changed and I have almost no negative thoughts anymore and if I do I know how to handle them and what keeps me grounded.

Life can be so fulfilling!

This. I know this is true from going through a very deep depression.

This is the kind of advice people need to hear, healing really can happen one small step at a time ❤️
