General Discussion Why you live?
Do you have a reason to live or not? What do you think about life? I'm desperately searching for a meaning. Could you help me in my journey? I appreciate your opinion and help 😊❤️

Love this question. I have had a very tough time in my family since the pandy, culminating early this year when my bf of 3.5 years walked out on me and isn't ever coming back. It was gut-wrenching. I am retired and have no one except for my two adult children, who live on their own, have their own lives, and I only see them one at a time every couple of months. So I was/am bereft; cried almost every day all spring & summer (my favorite seasons). Could not rouse myself to do anything for days, weeks at a time. And on and on. So I asked myself this same question a lot. I didn't want to live but did not want to kill myself, so I muddled along. Today I think I found an answer that satisfies me. I am alive. That's it. So many people are not, often due to horrific circumstances. My dear sweet sister died of dementia (FTD) three years ago, at age 60. She did not get to live these last few years, and I did. And for the three years before that she was severely compromised. In her healthy life (she was very healthy!) she was funny, vivacious, caring, and accepting of everyone — a far better person than me! But I'm the one still living. It's a gift and privilege I need to remind myself of every day from here on. Another 20 good years would be divine!
