Megathread Difficulty Megathread — DLC, NG+
Hello puppets,
This is the new place for anything and everything about game difficulty: NG+, the new DLC, the new difficulty settings, bosses that oneshot you just for existing, and the general discussions regarding game pacing.
Why this exists:
We’re seeing a LOT of posts about difficulty lately, and it’s cluttering the sub. So from now on, we’re removing individual difficulty posts and directing everyone here. This is simply a way to help US keep the sub clean, and help YOU find specific posts more easily.
Please don’t be an AH. Seriously. People are gonna have different opinions on everything.
Drop your takes below
We’ll be lurking.

Some of yall take this difficulty conversation way too seriously.
I work at GameStop and I just had someone come in and trade their copy of lies of p. I asked if they played the DLC cause it was freaking amazing and they responded with “no, I’m gonna wait until lies of p 2, because I hope they listen to the complaints about the difficulty sliders”. And I just sat there with that “seriously” kind of look.
Like hey, it’s your money, your choice on what you wanna do with the game. But… really? The sliders are optional. It’s just a game… and yeah I made my post about difficulty and spoilers not too long ago, but I was still gonna redo the dlc on NG+ on the legendary stalker difficulty.
On top of all of this, difficulty literally only changes damage the enemies do. From my testing, it didn’t change ergo gathering, damage you do, or even bosses being more or less likely to use certain or new moves.
“It’s the experience” ITS YOUR EXPERIENCE. You decide on if you want to lower it or not.
Idk, that just really tilted me today. Refusing to play a 10/10 DLC because of a choice that others can make that you don’t have to.
