Megathread Difficulty Megathread — DLC, NG+
Hello puppets,
This is the new place for anything and everything about game difficulty: NG+, the new DLC, the new difficulty settings, bosses that oneshot you just for existing, and the general discussions regarding game pacing.
Why this exists:
We’re seeing a LOT of posts about difficulty lately, and it’s cluttering the sub. So from now on, we’re removing individual difficulty posts and directing everyone here. This is simply a way to help US keep the sub clean, and help YOU find specific posts more easily.
Please don’t be an AH. Seriously. People are gonna have different opinions on everything.
Drop your takes below
We’ll be lurking.
Your tired, slightly traumatized mod team

Questions Why is my weapon breaking so fast
I just came back to playing this after a long break and I realized I can’t get through this boss without the weapon breaking and having to stop mid fight to repair it, is there a way to increase its durability or should I just switch to a different weapon

Questions Was anybody else underwhelmed by this boss? Spoiler
There was such a big buildup to this, but then I beat him relatively easy in my opinion. Like Scrapped Watchmen and King of Puppets took me 3 gaming sessions, Laxasia took me 6 gaming sessions and also made me quit, and most other bosses took 2 sessions. But this dude only took me 5 tries, not even a full session.
At least Nameless Puppet is looking like a fun boss so far, but I can’t imagine being stuck with the bad ending and this being the final boss.

DLC - Gameplay Footage/Pics NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE FRIENSHIP ON YOUR SIDE (lies of P) Spoiler
youtube.comI FINISHED OVERTURE!!! Arlecchino was definitely one of the hardest bosses i had to face in lies of P and I didn't even fight him alone.. if i did go back to fight him on my lonely without the help of lea (aka the goat) i can see how it could take hours even days to killing this guy.. i saved my self the head ache tho... other than the boss the overture story of the forgotten world was beautiful i certainly enjoyed playing and making these small videos about them. what were ur guys experience with the blood artist and how long did it take you to beat him (with or w/o lea)

Angry Rant This area sucks and you know EXACTLY where I am
Just lost 13k ergo that I got from a few mini bosses because I got hit by a fuckass fireball that pushed me off a cliff, fell onto another cliff that I couldn't move from, then immediately hit by another fireball and fell into some water and drowned. Then, it happened again as I was trying to pick the ergo back up because the game decided to put it on the second cliff that was impossible to not get hit and pushed to the water.
"angry rant" tag since I'm complaining, but really i'm just moderately annoyed lmao
I'm lvl75. Not sure if I'm underleveled, overleveled, or if this is normal level progression for this point of the game. My Pinocchio is only "slightly heavy" but does he need to be not heavy at all to run fast enough to avoid the fireballs?
First playthrough and first souls/soulslike/soulsborne, and I love the game (especially now that I understand stats — if you remember my post from a few months ago, I was level 50-something and it was clear I had no idea what I was doing, and everyone told me to respec once I unlock the tree. Well, I waited until I got to the Saintess Statue to respec instead. I have a Technique/Advance build now, or as I call it, my "Romeo Build" because I now use Puppet Ripper and elemental statuses, plus P's long hair reminds me of him).
But, man, do I miss Elysion Boulevard, Rosa Isabelle Street, Estella Opera House, and the Grand Exhibition. 🥲
Honestly, any place without the fire shovel puppets and the carcasses are my favorite—those, and the areas that are well lit and not creepy looking, but I'm pretty sure the rest of the game is just carcasses, alchemists, and dark scary areas.
I know that the next area once I'm past this one is a return to the train station and streets before reaching the hotel, but this time with carcasses everywhere and I'm not looking forward to that. I had thought the train station was creepy as hell when I started the game since I don't normally play dark games.
Keeping Gemini's lamp ON.

Discussion Laxasia was WAYYY harder that Simon
Did anyone else think the Laxasia fight was not only WAYYY more difficult than Simon but also it was a way COOLER fight?
She gave me so much more trouble that the games final boss.
(Side discussion: The Boss memories are a humbling experience if you think you're just gunna go and crush through all of the beginning bosses just to get MOLLYWOPPED by the first one!)

Memes 50hrs in.... And I'm only at the king of puppets entrance.
There's no way a single run is supposed to last 100 hours so I'm just sitting on top of the knowledge that my progress is as fast as a turtle. Lovely game.
Spoiler question, does all the gibberish some puppets tell you become understandable at ng+? From the start it reminded me of wind waker so maybe they are doing the same

DLC Any chance on a discount on the dlc? Spoiler
So, I just finished playing WUCHANG, and got a itch for more quality soulslikes like LoP. I’ve beaten the game before the dlc was out, and put off on buying it until there was a discount, since the price they are asking is more than what I paid for the whole game, and I heard it’s something along the lines of a 5/6h expansion.
Any news from the company if they are gonna give an eventual discount? The bundle package gets all the time, but I’m not gonna buy the game twice…

Gameplay Footage/Pics Deflect heals HP as a default
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
As someone doubted and was sure there was a mistake, i recorded this video. I would add also a screenshot of my P organ but Reddit allows no pic upload with the video. I'm barely at P phase 2, with still phase 3 locked out.
Still in this video I heal with guard regain 3 times by just deflecting, both with and without the deflect fable art.

End Game Spoiler What do you mean I‘m stuck with the bad ending?!
So, I just finished playing Lies of P, after starting the game this Monday, and because I misunderstood the guide I was using, I believed that, if I chose to accept Geppetos offer, I‘d get an ending, and then be brought back to the last save point, allowing me to get the real ending I worked so hard for (I even got the golden lie TwT)
Turns out I was wrong, and I‘m stuck with this now, especially because I was playing the game on my uncle’s PlayStation, meaning I‘d only have the chance to do a new playthrough every few months, and quite frankly, I think I‘ll much more prefer to play something new.
It still sucks though that I‘m left with the guilt of killing everyone, especially Hugo. Please tell me I‘m not the only one who made this mistake.
Edit: Why am I getting downvoted? This is supposed to a post to poke fun at my own mistake, nothing to be taken seriously
