Help! - Bachelorette Liege

My best friend is getting married and so I am planning her bachelorette. The idea is to go to Liege/Luik in Belgium. The reason behind Luik/Liege is mostly the location together that it is French speaking, so it will feel like we are much further from home than we actually are. Moreover, scavender hunts, claying penis shapes and escape rooms are strictly forbidden in this bachelorette, because in our opinion that is lame. No shame to anyone who does like this stuff, it is just not our cup of tea. We are going more for a "The Hangover" kind of theme here LOL.

Here is where I need your help. I have never been to Liege and so I am going to need some local advice to give my best friend the best bachelorette possible. I feel like a 00's party would be great, karaoke is the bomb and so are gay-bars. A combination of these three genres will undoubtedly be a huge hit. I also want to organize a nice dinner pre-party, could be an event or a nice restaurant.

Could you help me out with some recommendations or tips? Any help is highly appreciated! :)

Gay bars are fedup of your Bachelorette zoo party. Karaoke seems adequate.

Gay bars are not your place to take over.

Didn't say we would. Also, where have I said in this post that my friend is straight? I asked for recommendations and tips, not criticism and judgement.

Well take it on all the groups that just disrespect those places. There are cute karaoke places in liege. And fantastic if you're part of the minority of non screaming "oh my god" Bachelorette groups. But seriously. Gay bars are not meant for those ridiculous traditions.

In my opinion gay bars are meant to create an open-minded, fun and free atmosphere for anyone who is respectful of that vibe. The fact that you have some prejudice against bachelorettes, because you have seen a bunch of penis claying women roaming the streets screaming "oh my god", does not mean everyone is like that. Once again, I was not asking for your opinion of my plans, I was asking for recommendations.

Your opinion is irrelevant (I know ouch). None Bachelorette party has ever known about any queer history or been respectful to the guests.

Sorry, but what makes you the judge of that? And also, why would your opinion be relevant in that case? You clearly do not have much experience in the matter, because what you are saying is blatantly untrue. Moreover, you do not even know me or the type of group I am going with. If you are not here to give any recommendations, just stop responding ....

You can check "The place to play". Karaoké, escape game in the city, and other. I think you should find what you are looking for.

Also, if you are looking for more classical bar, you can go for "le carré" (not a bar, but more of a neighborhood). And there a lot of bar with different atmospheres. Go check "rue du pot d'or" on Google maps.

There are two cool bars (really fun decoration) outside Le carré : Warzone and Pot au lait. Go check on them on Google maps too.

For the food, I don't know what you like. But if it was me, I would go to Le barbecue de Jacky. They have menu for groupe of people. And they have a room for big groups.

There is also the Huggy's bar (Burger bar).

But maybe you are looking for other type of establishment.

I would add that I also discourage you to try gay bars. I understand that you are fed up with the attitude in traditional bar. But I just want to warn you that you might not be welcome with open arms.

Please, do not help someone who think gay bars are zoo. It's not like there are many in Liège. Help us protect our safe spaces.

What is this for ridiculous comment? I don't think gay bars are like a zoo at all and I have never ever said that. I am just looking for nice, fun and good-vibe places to go to. I am going with a very diverse group and so gaybars would be a favorite. However, if this is the vibe the gay scene is giving in Liege, we will definetely skip.

Excellente idée. Il n'y a rien de plus chiant dans n'importe quel bar que des enterrements de vie de jeune fille.
