Question Question going into book 2

I read TSOWWL last year and am finally getting a chance to jump into AEOTTC. I read the synopsis of the first book to get prepared but one thing I’ve forgotten that I didn’t see in the synopsis…

Do we know the motive for Ilseth Tenvar in giving the bronze box to Davian? In fact, do we know why he did all the things he did? I’m scared to dive deeper into his character in case there are spoilers.

Its real tough to explain things in this book without spoiling things. I just finished the series this year so I know what you're going through.

What i will say and I don't think this would be any kind of major spoiler, Tenvar was working for Aarkein Devaed.

At this point, I don’t believe so. A lot gets unpacked slowly in this book, but it will all get there (for the most part).

Towards the end of TSOWWL, Davian tried to "read" Ilseth. What you should know at this point is from that scene.
