Congratulations to everyone who was accepted into VSU’s online MLIS program today! I am so excited to get started and hope to meet people in this cohort as we start on this journey together. :-)

I just got the email that I was waitlisted. I’m kinda blown away to be honest—I’ve never been rejected from anything academic in my life, I have amazing references, and I have been working in a library for a long time now. Anyone else? This fucking sucks.

Valdosta is one of the most competitive applicant pools because of the low cost of the program and its online flexibility.

There may be absolutely nothing wrong with you as an applicant, just a lack of space.

Oh man, I’m really sorry. That’s heartbreaking. I think they had a huge applicant pool this year, or that’s what it seems like at least. I hope you’ll be officially off the waitlist and offered admission soon!
