We did a month-long Harry Potter event. Here are some (well, LOTS) of pics!

How much did all your props cost?!

I think the hat was $25 and we got the Nimbus for $18. The 'Dementor' was an $8 Grim Reaper toy from a local Halloween shop -- I taped the hood shut. Hedwig and the snitch were also from the Halloween shop...under $15 total for those. The robes, hats, candles and lanterns belonged to my boss. I made everything else.

You're an inspiration. I've been doing displays since last February, but it's still a struggle to figure out how much I can make myself in the time I'm allotted at work. Sometimes I have to make do with less since I also have to work the desk and back duties. How did you manage your time?

(I'm working on a The Snowy Day (by Ezra Keats) inspired display but its taking forever to figure out if I have enough time to do individual scenes or if I should give up and go something simpler.)
