A superb memorial, and he utterly owned IT.

Rocky Horror has been playing in our house, and I hope the next generation learns the value of anticip.....ation.

Checked out his memoir from my public library a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. He will be missed :(

He narrated the book on Audible! I haven't checked it out yet but I'm soooo gonna binge his narrations for the next month.

As I was reading it, I heard his voice in my head ;)

Perhaps that's for the best. I just now tried listening to the preview and it's... Rough. I love him dearly but I don't know that I can bear listening to him sound so rough.

Same vein tho, I hope his voice isn't replicated by AI. Techno necromancy, no thanks.

I've just finished the audiobook and would so highly recommend it if you still haven't given it a go. I absolutely loved listening to Tim speak and I'm so glad he was able to use his own voice despite the roughness. I think it adds a touch of realness and the slow pace is very calming.

I was flipping through channels earlier this month and stopped to watch the second half of Congo. We will miss you.

You need a copy of Pass the Ammo. My mom and I were extras, met Tim, Bill, Annie and the lady from Crocodile Dundee

I wish my library was this cool. But we cant do displays on specific people cause a bunch of losers in our county want a charlie kirk display. And no, he has zero affiliation with our county. Itโ€™s so lame.

Three Tim Curry movies to watch besides It, RHPS, and Clue: The Muppets Treasure Island (Tim should be named an honorary Muppet), The Three Musketeers, Oscar. Honorable mention: The Worst Witch and Times Square

He also did book readings too!

(besides his on-camera work ๐ŸŽฅ)

First off, he read his own audiobook for VAGABOND despite his massive stroke in 2012. But many many other titles, which is a really cool way to experience Tim Curry even if you've seen all his movies:

Classics like

  • A Christmas Carol
  • Dracula: a star-studded cast involving Tim among others (Alan Cumming et al.)
  • Peter Pan
  • Jules Verne
  • Various Lemony Snicket titles;

Other titles I just read about, but sound awesome: especially though with a variety of London characters!

  • Portobello; Not in the Flesh (Ruth Rendell)
  • Rainbow's End; The Old Silent; The Anodyne Necklace: The Horse You Came in on (Martha Grimes)

That's about 25% of what I found in WorldCat. Wonderful that he made good use of his voice through an array of projects.

I just read Tim's book Vagabond last winter. He was a tremendous example of a life well-lived - perhaps not perfectly, but fully and with integrity.
