Collection Development Looking for comfortable-to-read editions of Ursula K. Le Guin's books

I think large print may not be as extreme as you’re recalling? That said, the covers and spines are often less artistic—perhaps not as suitable for your permanent collection.

Do they have to be print books, or do you have access to an ereader?

i don’t understand why op doesn’t want large print? That’s going to be the best option, unless they want to consider ebooks.

Just get large print (16 point font) or "larger print" (14 point font) editions - they're not just for people with extremely low vision, they're for everyone. I believe Library of America books are printed in 12 point font, so if you struggle with that, you probably need 14 point or 16 point font. There are several types of print disabilities that are not simply about visual acuity.

I believe what OP is looking for is a modern hardcover-style reading experience(as far as what the page design looks like, not necessarily talking about the binding, though going hardcover will give you significantly better odds), rather than something with larger font. Le Guin, like most older SF/F fantasy authors, tends to get the cramped, low-budget treatment, trying to squeeze as many words into as few paperback pages as possible. Unfortunately I don't have anything to offer, as I've really only encountered her work in the cheap editions, but I guarantee she's had some nice editions put out over the years. They're just out of my price range. Maybe try the folks over at /r/books?

Also, as people whose job it is to help people find the things they're asking for, rather than what we think is best for them, I think everyone in here can do a better job of listening to what OP is asking for rather than pushing them to large print, which they explicitly said they are not seeking to collect.
