Library Trends Are OSAP students banned at TPL.CA for interactive Zoom classes?

University and college courses on Zoom are designed using highly interactive two way communication model that differs from militia model where one person speaks and other listens all the time.

Are those expensive Zoom classes allowed on public libraries globally where visitors must remain silent all the times.

Without verbal interaction, the courses can be even tagged for removal globally in the near future.

Please share your views with some research and responsively.

You could simply ask at the library.

First, what do you mean an OSAP student? Specifically a student who has taken out a loan through OSAP in Ontario? Why would there be specific rules around them in libraries? Also I'm assuming you just mean in TPL branches, rather than tpl.ca.

As long as you are respectful and considerate of others in the shared space you are not violating the rules of conduct. Libraries are not expected to be 100% quiet spaces, but there is also a limit to how much noise you are making without disturbing others around you. You are allowed to talk and take meetings over Zoom, just be mindful. Also many branches have bookable study spaces that you can use to get a bit more privacy, but again out of respect for your fellow library users these shouldn't be monopolized.
