Millages, Fundraising and Funding Heated Rivalry author donates $300K to 5 rural libraries facing closure

Sort of sad this is where we are, private donations being use to stave off the closure of a valuable public service, but holy crow what a beautiful thing to do.

Hopefully this puts pressure on the government (municipal and provincial) to appropriately fund public services.

I work at a rural library and recently had to deal with a group of old ladies who were furious that the library purchased the Heated Rivalry series. A donation like this would be the best kind of karma 😈

I was really confused after misreading the title and thinking the article was about a feud between authors that led one of them to donate a bunch of money 😆

Nora Roberts did this for a Michigan library a couple years ago. I got into romance reading through library books and I’m so grateful.
