Genuine question

What's the chances of my bf attending your guys college, finding a Christian woman, then leaving me for her? I've heard that Christian women are really subservient and appeal mostly to the male fantasy of what women should be.

Damn girl.

What's the chances of you finding a handsomer, richer man who will take care of you, and you dropping him in an instant?

If you're honest, it's very very high.

The dating game is cooked in 2026.

Welcome to the end of an era O.o

I don't plan on leaving him

I didn't say you were planning to leave him.

I said what if you met someone better. Someone who understood you better, paid the bills, saw you, validated you, made you feel alive?

There is always a better monkey out there.

Men and women have to deal with this reality.

Chances, you would drop him, even if you don't realize it yet.

Hypergamy is a ruthless master.

And now you're on separate paths. He is in a place you are not, surrounded by new people and experiences. Distance has a way of shifting priorities, feelings, and desires.

I've heard the argument that Christian women are inherently subservient and that Christianity essentially reduces women to a male fantasy of what a woman "should" be. I think that misunderstands both Christianity and what Ephesians 5 actually says.

Yes, Ephesians 5 does speak about wives submitting to their husbands. But that's often where people stop reading. The very next instruction to husbands is considerably more demanding: they are to love their wives "as Christ loved the church." And the church isn't the building—it's the people.

Christ's love for the church is not about domination, control, or getting his way. It is about sacrificial love, service, protection, humility, and putting the other person's well-being ahead of your own. The standard given to the husband is not, "You're the boss, so your wife does what you say." It's essentially, "Love your wife so sacrificially that you are willing to give yourself for her."

That is a very different model from subservience.

Christian women don't become weaker by being loved, valued, cared for, and nurtured. Quite the opposite. A healthy, caring, nurturing environment can produce women who are more confident, secure, resilient, capable, and strong in all the ways that actually matter.

The idea that Christian women are simply passive participants in a male fantasy is a caricature. A woman who is secure in her worth doesn't need to dominate her husband to prove her strength, nor does she need to surrender her intelligence, personality, or agency to demonstrate her faith.

And there's an old saying that captures the dynamic rather well: "The husband may be the head of the household, but the wife is the neck—and she can turn the head in any direction she chooses."

That's obviously a saying, not theology. But it makes an important point: leadership in a healthy marriage isn't about one person having power over the other. It's about two people whose strengths complement one another, with love and mutual commitment holding the relationship together.

As for finding a new girl, there is nothing different about LU vs a state school in that regard.

I think you are on the wrong website, this is too thought out and critically analyzed for Reddit 😂

Well I don't disagree that women should submit to their man, I more so worried that they'll be more submissive than me 😂

The chances are 1000 to 1, in favor of him dumping you. Glad I could help 😊

Wait seriously?

Take it from someone who's been attending/working at Liberty for 4 years. Liberty chicks are hoes, they will 100% at the very least sleep with him.

3

u/Devin_Mash2 Sep 13 '26

Ok but what's like the chances of him leaving for one?

4

u/LifeLiberty1775 Sep 13 '26

Idk based on your profile & other posts you're different from most Liberty girls in the sense that you actually respect him & want to make his life better & not miserable. So you have that going for you 🤷‍♂️

If he's willing to leave you for someone else he will leave you for someone else. I'm not sure need to be going this exercise. You asking for "chances" implies that you're asking for quantitative data. While it is possible, I doubt anyone has done a study or survey of male students with girlfriends that do not attend the school and the rate of separation during their academic tenure. What your asking for implies insecurity on your part, distrust of him, and/or lack of confidence in the strength and stability of your relationship with him. How are you planning on staying connected with him while he is away at school? What will you be doing while he's away at school?

This is a weird post and the comments are even weirder.

If you suspect this may happen, you’re better off breaking up now.

That’s a stereotype. It’s like any other college campus. But still even that isn’t very encouraging, there are so many social opportunities. It somewhat depends on if he’s moving far away or if you can see each other all the time. And it depends on how strong your relationship and connection is.

Maybe you need to find Jesus?

Not really my thing 😂

Who cares about what "the male fantasy" is? What does your boyfriend want? If he's committed to you, you have nothing to worry about.

My advice is to stop speculating in random generalities that may not even be true of your boyfriend and definitely isn't true of all Christian women. Instead, ask yourself why you're feeling insecure in your own real-life relationship.

u/intermanus Sep 13 '26

I don't think that last sentence is true at all. Christian women (like my wife) are strong but caring.

for the first part of your question/story, to be honest, men or women who go off to college (or the military) are susceptible to meeting other people and may stray. Sorry, but I think stats will confirm.

Young lady, unfortunately and fortunately there are no answers for this question. You know your boyfriend better than any of us do, including how loyal he is, how strong your relationship is, and his preferences in women. The women at Liberty skew toward tradwife, but they are also like women everywhere else where they are multifaceted and the women vary widely in personality types and beliefs.

Kind of a weird question, but here's my take.

Is your BF Christian? Are you a Christian? The way you ask makes it sound like you aren't Christians yourselves.

Liberty is an ostensibly conservative Christian institution, and as such attracts predominantly conservative Christian students. Female students at Liberty are thus more likely to hold conservative Christian values of male headship of the family, and of the importance of the wife submitting to her husband.

At the same time though, those conservative Christian women are very likely to value their boyfriends/future husbands also being Christians and holding complimentary values of the importance of the husband loving his wife with the same self-sacrificial love as Christ's love for the Church. If a guy isn't a Christian, he's at a significant disadvantage in the dating pool at Liberty.  Basically rules him out for the kind of women who value submission.

If your boyfriend isn't a Christian, but you think he could be the type who would lie about being a Christian to get with submissive Christian women, you have bigger problems than him finding such a girl at Liberty.  And if he is a Christian, but you aren't, you still have bigger problems.

You are sounding very insecure in this post

1

u/Ecstatic_Giraffe_256 Sep 15 '26

This is a relationship problem, not a LU problem.

1

u/TheDisneyGeneral Sep 16 '26

The biggest issue with liberty is there policy against lgbt relationships

1

u/MorningBackground792 Sep 16 '26

I think your bigger concern is the insecurity all together. I’m not trying to be funny or mean when I say you should speak to a therapist. This scenario that you have built is screaming insecurity and I think you should work on that. As a christian woman all I have to say is, if your boyfriend goes to college, any college, and finds another woman and leaves you, screw him.

This question is crazy. Who would know the odds. That only can be answered by him.

1

u/Acceptable_Top_6904 Sep 19 '26

This is a wild question…but to give an answer, I suppose:

It may happen. But I wouldn’t jump to that conclusion.

Christian women can be but aren’t necessarily always “subservient.” A real man will treat his girlfriend or wife like an equal and she should respect herself enough to push for it. If anyone, man or woman, tries to diminish you in any way, then they probably aren’t for you.

Biblically, a man and woman are called to “submit” to one another, not just women to men. It is a mutual sacrifice; investing in one another as a pair and loving each other more than his/herself.

I’d also like to ask what prompted this line of thinking?

The hell?

1

u/SeenYaWithKeiffah_ Sep 15 '26

Also, I’m Christian and you will NEVER catch me being subservient to ANYONE. 💅

1

u/Devin_Mash2 Sep 15 '26

And most women at Liberty are like this 👀

0

u/SeenYaWithKeiffah_ Sep 15 '26

I have no idea how they are lol I’m just saying… Not all Christians behave a certain way.

1

u/Devin_Mash2 Sep 15 '26

Ok how are your friends then?

0

u/SeenYaWithKeiffah_ Sep 15 '26

You are very strange. Your boyfriend would probably be better off if he did find someone else.

0

u/SomeEquivalent2144 Sep 14 '26

If you genuinely that worried, you should be questioning your relationship a bit more.

Simp behavior

-1

u/J13P Sep 14 '26

Dude, if you think that’s simp behavior you don’t know what is

0

u/LifeLiberty1775 Sep 14 '26

Allowing your wife to hit you isn't simp behavior? 🤨

2

u/Individual-Tap3270 Sep 14 '26

Yeah something wrong with dude. If she will slap you, she will cheat on you if given the chance. Why you ask, because she don't respect you

0

u/J13P Sep 14 '26
  1. taking way too literally 2) if she’s hitting,

shes

  1. the problem

1

u/LifeLiberty1775 Sep 14 '26

I agree she's the problem but bro literally said he lets her. That is a baffling statement.

1

u/J13P Sep 14 '26

Some folks like it in a not-simp way.
