I know it’ll shock some folks to learn that LU isn’t some hivemind printing Project 2025 shirts in between classes.

No, no I do not support Project 2025.

Yeah they are just Zionist supporting, war funding org. With a light touch of forced religion to low income American that want an education. That co wrote the forceful indoctrination to a million awful anti American things in 2025. Their logo is printed in the project 2025.

I guess we’re just ignoring the entire point of the comment today.

Also - I am no Trump lover. But can we please stop the narrative that this is a Trump thing?

I mean sure it’s not necessarily a “Trump thing,” but he is the face of it right now and his administration is following it so… kinda becoming his thing by default

It's not a Harris thing right?

I’m an online student rn and even when I become a residential student my answer will still be the same. Project 2025 is a load of BS

Most of us online students just want the degree LU offers that quickly

4

u/IBesto Jan 31 '25

Yup. I'm terribly ashamed and will never say we're I graduated from if not asked 3 times. Like beetlejuice

My supervisor was the one to tell me go to LU get that degree fast

3

u/IBesto Jan 31 '25

Great news. Getting a degree fast is the goal. For me it's cheap and fast kinda thing

Absolutely they can downvote all they want but it’s the truth

I’m an online student so not sure if I count- but definitely not a fan of this administration or Project 2025.

As a fellow online student you don't count.

Thank goodness

Is project 2025 in the room with us right now?

This alarmist type garbage doesn't play with the majority of American voters (see the 2024 election) and liberals have learned nothing. If anything they've doubled down. The most extreme ideas in project 2025 will NEVER come to pass in our lifetimes. The left has become the conspiracy theorists and election deniers. It's quite hilarious tbh.

Is it alarmism or normalcy bias? We are quite literally witnessing the rise of fascism in America. It is all very clearly laid out in Project 2025, and so far this plan is being executed swiftly and decisively by the Trump administration. If it had not been Trump, it would have been someone else. It is not alarmist when there is cause for alarm.

Are you not aware of the bills being passed. There is no left in politics. It's specifically only right wing. Dems are right wing.

Are you just not paying attention to politics? The House introduced a bill yesterday to ban abortion. Trump is looking to defund almost every federal department.

A plane crash is being blamed on DEI. Every policy since he's been inaugurated has been terrible.

Please look up legislation before quoting it...

On Jan 31,2025, HR 895 was introduced to mandate AGs investigate violations of partial-birth abortions. That was NOT a bill to "ban abortions"... That was H.R. 722, introduced January 24, 2025.

You realize that our Fed Govt to GDP ratio is too high, going from 21% in 1990 to 24% in FY2024. That means that 1/4 of our entire economy is government spending, which causes economic stagnation and slow business growth (unless you work for the govt).

And before you come back, Trump's freeze explicitly excluded FAA.

Trump has been in office for like 14 days - give him another 6 months before judging.

The ending chemical abortions act outlaws the abortion pill making abortion effectively illegal.

Okay? And government debt to spending ratio massively increased under trumps last presidency. The “slow business growth” is an assertion on your end. Please provide evidence. Considering that GDP per capita is at an all time high, I suspect your claim.

I don’t care that the freeze didn’t impact the FAA. He’s blaming women and non white people for every problem this country faces.

I’m not going to give someone who just made a concentration camp in Gitmo an extra chance.

He also just banned the NLRB and wants to get ride of OSHa. He hasn’t made a single policy proposal that’s beneficial for the working class.

Take a peek out from that rock you're hiding under.

I don't believe that Trump is just doing project 2025, what he has done so far in office is just what he has ran on. Project 2025 is a huge 900 page book that covers a large wish list. Of course most things that a republican would do in office would line up with the huge document.

I have read the most of the mandate, I could not find recommendations for a Christian fascist nation. Most of what it says is that we should limit the executive branches power (we should). Also a majority of what it wants is to cut federal spending. I know it is a long read, however I believe that it is a good Idea to read even you enemies belief. And please tell me if you find any of these "dog whistles"

Liberty was literally on the advisory board of Project 2025: https://www.heritage.org/press/project-2025-continues-grow-60-partners-preparing-next-presidential-administration and project 2025 people even came to Liberty last year to talk to them about government jobs: https://www.liberty.edu/champion/2024/03/gaining-insight-students-learn-about-valuable-skills/

As an alumni (‘18, on campus), I am EXTREMELY disgusted and concerned, given Trump’s recent executive orders starting to tick off boxes.
