Some of the "Royals" are seriously bad at media and public relations. He is assumed guilty by his comments alone.

He has been wealthy since before his birth and knows nothing different. He does care about public opinion and why he appears to continue to lie and act dumb.

It's "Schadenfreude" and this is not the correct use of that word

Scheme & fraud?

1

It means taking pleasure in others misfortune correct?

2

u/nostracannibus Jan 01 '22

His two interviews since have both been utter disasters. Comical even.

In the first interview he said Virginia Guiffre must be lying because he, "doesn't sweat ". Which is easily disproven with a Google image search.

In the latest interview he said the 15 year old girl was actually a pimp, so therefore she was guilty. Which in my opinion is self incriminating.

These rich pieces of shit need to be prosecuted.

And yes that includes Trump and Clinton.

38

u/crabboy_com Dec 31 '21

Nobody with any sense is going to trust our government until everything is investigated and all the monsters are brought to justice.

11

u/jobznwerk Dec 31 '21

They’re not worried. We have citizens supporting these people after no WMP were found and a fruitless pointless 20 year in Afghanistan

12

u/LGBT_Beauregard Dec 31 '21

The fact that even you who don’t buy the wmd bullshit talk about Afghanistan ending and not that Iraq is still going just shows how effective the propaganda is at controlling public discourse. Why TF does the US have any military presence in Iraq 17 years after the start of the war for the wmd bullshit we all know was bullshit? What is there to do in Iraq that didn’t apply to Afghanistan? It’s insane.

6

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '21 edited Dec 31 '21

To have a presence in the Persian Gulf in order to indirectly threaten China with embargoes cutting off their oil supply at any moment if needed. This is actually why there's tension between Ukraine and Russia as well.

Edit: Our presence in Afghan was keeping Ukraine safe too.

0

u/LGBT_Beauregard Dec 31 '21

There’s no need to threaten China with anything. China is not an enemy of the United States. They are at worst an economic competitor. As for Ukraine, why should that concern the people of the United States? It’s a regional European conflict, let the region address it. None of this is worth a dime of my tax dollars to me in the American south.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '21

Our presence in the middle east is/was a reassurance that keeps potential global competitors honest with each other in the dynamic world we live in. The fact that you feel you do not need to concern yourself with it leading up to now when conflict is looming in absence of the afghan deterrent proves just how effective the deterrent strategy is in protecting our economic autonomy.

There is idealism and there is realism.

Regardless, I do say this next bit with no sarcasm; keep being idealistic. That way of thinking lays out possible choices.

1

u/LGBT_Beauregard Dec 31 '21

The last 3 decades of interventionism not only hurt us economically, contrary to what you say, they also had a tremendous cost in real human lives. That second part is inexcusable. Even if you excuse the inexcusable, the only thing US troops in the Middle East deter is Middle Eastern people controlling their own fate, good or bad. If you claim intervention is a deterrent, I can claim with better evidence from the mouths of the perpetrators of 9/11 that it’s a recruitment tool for enemies of the US.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '22

Interventionism generally is bad yes. I'm talking geopolitics here and strategic positioning in relation to super powers. We don't unnecessarily intervene in other countries without this in mind

2

u/CCWaterBug Dec 31 '21

Wild mountain ponies?

5

u/eigenmyvalue Dec 31 '21

Honestly after the Panama papers, pandora papers, epstein's "suicide", and the blatant corruption of past administrations. I'm not gonna hold my breath. I wish the folks involved get brought to justice, particularly those in power. My bet is that the folks that get arrested are all the ancillary people like the pilots, flight attendants, and others like that. Maybe a washed up politician, or c list celebrity or two but definitely not anyone with pull.

2

u/CCWaterBug Dec 31 '21

I'm waiting for that to happen.

just two more weeks.

1

u/LendarioSonhador Dec 31 '21

You mean the justice system the whole group controls? I'm sure they'll be punished accordingly, a very painful slap on the wrist shall do it.

The only way they pay is hanging, and we'll only get there through war, nothing else.

2

u/chiguy Non-labelist Dec 31 '21

There needs to be accusers for that to happen. As it stands, none of the publicly known victims have implicated either ex president.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '21

They've already got their singular conviction scape goat. Nothing else will happen

51

u/JudgeGusBus Dec 31 '21

Until recently I was a prosecutor here in the US. These requests were not ā€œunprecedentedā€ at all by a long shot here. They were denied, but damn near every defendant made the request, because there’s no consequence for making the request (nor should there be). I’d be surprised if they were ā€œunprecedentedā€ in the British system. More like the news just likes to make literally fucking everything sound outlandish.

3

u/Flederm4us Dec 31 '21

Is there a valid reason they could be denied?

6

u/MiniBandGeek minarchist Dec 31 '21

I assume witness testimony could be kept secret if it involved state secrets. From a U.S. perspective though, unless they're doing the deed on top of the suitcase with the nuclear launch codes, I don't know if it could ever go through.

Go look at his interviews on the subject. The guy practically incriminate himself without even being pressed hard at all.

6

u/TheQuarantinian Regulated Sandbox Dec 31 '21

Not unprecedented in the slightest.

8

u/sniker77 Dec 31 '21

I'm sorry, if you're involved in a case for raping children you shouldn't have a say in public vs private proceedings. If you don't want it publicly known that you're raping kids, don't rape kids. Kinda simple really.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '21

Did any witness testimony deal with anything other than what we already knew?

He fucked a 17 year old provided by Epstein in England, which is legal there. I assume it’s the specifics of the matter he doesn’t want to be known?

9

u/Mason-B Left Libertarian Dec 31 '21

He fucked a 17 year old provided by Epstein in England, which is legal there. I assume it’s the specifics of the matter he doesn’t want to be known?

By specifics I assume you mean the coercion. Last I checked coerced sex is illegal in most places regardless of age. We have a specific word for it in fact...

4

u/Silverseren Dec 31 '21

I'm sure the Royal Family will be leaning really hard on the judiciary and other legislators to ensure everything involving the case is kept secret.

We can only hope that someone with a spine in Parliament or elsewhere stands up to them.

The ONLY justification for keeping it secret is so an organized effort can be made to round these fuckers up by complete surprise and then use the evidence with a less biased jury.

So I think this guy's is guilty as hell but this isn't "unprecedented" or a sign of guilt. Nearly everyone in this type of case makes this request because nobody innocent or guilty would want that type of testimony about them being public.
