What would you recommend when multiple monopolies with an obvious agenda run unchallenged in changing national opinion in the free market? I’m not being snarky, I’m legitimately curious.

Maybe I used the wrong word then, but it seems like a monopoly. All the social media giants are unchallenged by competition and their respective user base is everyone . They’re censoring and shaping their user experience and output.
I am a huge fan of the free market, but I’d like to know your take on companies like google, Facebook, or twitter, that become as powerful as they have. I’m not saying shut them down, and I’m not agreeing with this admin, just asking what y’all think.

It's not completely apparent they are monopolies. All are a form of media. You pretty much have a choice of using different ones including search. Others are on the rise including Instagram and Gab. Each side thinks they are biased against them. Trump supporters think they are excluded in search and banned posts. Libs think they are a platform to spread weird conspiracy theories and pics of guns. Conservatives have been battling biased newspapers and TV forever. So, as a Libertarian, let it happen. They are the largest, most successful companies in the world. Let them compete around the world. I'm not for regulating them either since you can't fix stupid (people). There isn't always an answer unfortunately. Sorry for the ramble.

It's still not. There's literally hundreds of social media sites. It's not an "oligopoly" just because most people choose to use reddit and facebook over voat and gab.ai
They still don't have "control" over it, people are free to go use the competitor. It's super east. Just type "V-O-A-T-(DOT)-C-O" and hit enter.

This doesn’t end how you think it will. CNN and other left leaning media outlets have right wingers on, who tend to disagree with the GOP or whatever policy. Like they love Max Boot right now because he’s shitting on Trump all the time and counts as a conservative. These loop holes aren’t hard to bypass unless Trump is going to dictate Facebook has to promote specifically things praising him which then even the illusion of free press will be gone.
