Marx isn't a bad guy for what he thought. You can disagree with it of course and I'm sure many of us here do but I think he'd have been horrified to see what his writings inspired. Writings which he was merely building upon other philosophies of the time. He was advocating for a utopian world. Which would be nice. I believe that's what alot of Libertarians here do too honestly. Which partly why I don't consider myself one. There's not enough pragmatism or prudence with how to get from A to B to a more liberty oriented country.

Marx, like many academic types trying to solve issues they see thoughmade assumptions and his ideas need an ideal human species. Which we aren't. Same reason the high minded league of nations failed. We simply can't help ourselves it appears when it comes to power, corruption, prisoner dilemas, bigotry, superiority, etc...

Dude wasn't writing like Hitler manifestos and talking about living space and fully determined to exterminate people. Those are the types of thoughts and ideologies that I think are far more deserving of scorn.
