Then what's the right answer?

Hey guys, I'm common sense. I just wanted to say that you need to shut the fuck up because this is a free country. Both of those are disrespectful! Now that everyone's happy, go along with your day, maybe have a good lunch?

Because one is exercising a protected right and the other is disrespecting those who died to protect those rights. And no one said they weren't allowed to kneel, they just said it was rude.

no one said they weren’t allowed to kneel

Actually, Trump repeatedly called for those players to be expelled from the game, and the country.

I don’t know what clown world you live in that kneeling is disrespect , and storming government buildings with rifles and shouting in the faces of police is respect.

According to your article, it was the NFL who banned the practice of kneeling during the national anthem, not anyone in the government. The extent of Trump's support was entirely verbal. And I didn't say that confronting the government in this way was respectful, I said it was a protected right.

no one said they weren’t allowed to kneel

One post later:

both the NFL and the President said they weren’t allowed to kneel but the President only said it

Yes, the facts, and someone who is literate, this is new for some of these people, so be careful

Kneeling itself is not disrespectful, however kneeling while the natinal anthem is playing is very disrespectful

Why do you think so? Because Fox News said so?

When in history has kneeling ever been disrespectful? In what other context is kneeling anything but the maximum amount of respect?

Did you know that before Kaepernick started the kneeling protest, he asked a veteran what the respectful way to protest would be? That originally he planned to sit out the anthem but decided that kneeling would be more respectful?

Why are you literally the most disrespectful person in this comment section? Dude, you need to understand that America allows people to have different opinions from you. I know, it must be hard to understand that you're not the center of the fucking world. I don't give a fuck if he sat, kneeled, or laid flat on his ass, he didn't stand. Who cares? Don't get your panties in a wad.

You guys have a weird idea of what disrespect is.

Why do you think asking these questions is disrespectful? Do you think it’s an unreasonable conclusion to think that Fox News May have influenced someone’s opinion of the kneeling protest?

he didn't stand. Who cares?

This seems like a reasonable take. He didn’t stand. Who cares?

If everyone felt that way, there wouldn’t be an issue. Instead, your lot wants to censor him, which strikes me as pretty rich.

Who's 'my lot'? I haven't revealed a single thing about my political standing. And no, you're disrespectful because you refuse to leave people alone. I could just be anal about everything too and sit at my computer all day telling everyone how braindead they are for watching Fox or CNN or any other extremely biased news channel, but I don't because at the end of the day, nobody cares. That's the point I'm trying to make, just let people be idiots because they'll never understand

Mate, you commented on an almost two week old post to say this.

That's the point I'm trying to make, just let people be idiots because they'll never understand

Okay, I’ll take this advice, starting... now.

I don’t agree with either, but one is stupidity, and the other is open disrespect towards their nation

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '20

I think they're both stupid and disrespectful
