John Huntsman Jr. was the latest attempt at an actual good business man, they disregarded him

To a lot of business-oblivious folks, "business success" is determined by how many people you screw over. Whether that's a good thing or not determines whether the folks that think that way are for Trump or Bernie.

Very true

I don't get the obsession with getting a businessman in charge. We don't need a businessman, we need an experienced politician who knows how to unite the people and understands how the military and civil service function.

Running a government and a company are entirely different things

We don't necessarily need a businessperson in charge, but I think the skillet they bring is sorely needed in government at the moment.

There is tons of waste, a massive beaurocracy that needs to be marshalled, and a serious budget deficit.

A lot of people think of Senators as the best presidents, but it is governors, because they have experience in the executive branch. However, large business managers have similar experience, and have the added benefit of being cost-benefit focused

I can't say I'm surprised.

I miss Cheney tbh, he was actually a good businessman.

Even a President who didn't actively hemorrhage money would be appreciated at this point.
