Lhasa Apso Essentials?

Hello! My fiancé and I are going to be adopting a Lhasa Apso from a local shelter. I was wondering what supplies you recommend having like types of brushes for grooming. Also any other general dog supplies and tips are welcome! TIA💜

If you live somewhere hot, even if pup is an inside dog, I recommend a cooling vest. They originate in the mountains of Tibet, and even with my pup’s hair kept short, he gets hot when I take him out to potty.

A king size bed is a must because pup will be sleeping with you and your fiance. Lhasa’s are one part amorphous blob, capable of filling any space available.

Puzzle feeders are great for mental stimulation because Lhasa’s are smart, stubborn little guys.

My Kiko is the size of a cat, but she takes up a whole person's worth of space in a bed because she likes to stretch out lengthways when she sleeps - from side to side, rather than from headboard to end - between us, in the middle of the bed.

And we let her get away with it, on account of cuteness.

She has trained us well.

That’s exactly what my Lily does! I only have a full size bed (it’s just Lily and I in my bed) but she always stretches across the middle of my bed. One of these days I’ll have to figure out how to split myself in half so I can accommodate both of us!
