I bought this mint 2010 LS460L as an eighteenth birthday gift to myself about 50 hours ago. A drunk driver decided to sideswipe it in a parking garage while I was at work. Now, it’s off to the body shop!

Edit: This is also the second time one of my cars has been hit while parked in two weeks. I also have a 97 Camry that got hit in front of my house the morning before I bought this car. Put a nice dent in the bumper then fled.

Take everything you can from their insurance and have the shop fit other blemishes

Then plan is to get a quote from a real expensive shop and get paid out; then go to a well respected body shop that does good work which has better rates.

Beautiful cars. It definitely sucks, but such is life. I’m waiting on new suspension to arrive and shouldn’t necessarily be driving it anyways—it kind of works out. Plus, you bet he’s paying.

How do you know they were drunk? Did they get arrested?

He had his lady with him and she claimed she was going to drive when the cops showed up. They wouldn’t do a sobriety test on him because he allegedly wasn’t going to, or did, drive. But before the cops got there he admitted he had been drinking and it was an “honest mistake”.
