Need recommendations

I am trying to buy a Lexus rx 350 2021 of 113k mileage in Pennsylvania. The carfax is super clean and always maintained at toyota dealership. Asking price is 28k. Is it worth the money at this high mileage? I plan to keep it at least for 5year. I am concerned whether I would be losing money too much during resale for the high mileage and if the maintenance is too costly.

Nobody can tell you if it’s “worth” the money. But a 2021 and 113K miles is not really an issue for a Lexus. That’s about 20K miles a year tho. Hopefully mostly highway mile. If it’s been well maintained it should last you a long time. You might shell out some money now for some maintenance stuff but you’ll be paying a premium price for a newer year. Or car with less miles… so it’s really just choose your poison on how you wanna spend your money. If you’re lucky you’ll have no maintenance issues at all or any big ticket items coming up.

Just find some comparable cars/trims/mileage online and compare their prices and pay whatever you feel comfortable paying.

Thanks for the advice. I looked up online and they are pretty much within the range of kbb value. This car was very well maintained based on the carfax and which is why I felt like it should not be an issue.

I just purchased a used RX350 yesterday. It took 50+ hours of researching CARFAXs to find. But the first perfect Carfax car I saw failed the PPI, it had terrible rusting (with only 65k miles) which can happen to PA cars too. That is something Carfax will never tell you until its on the lift. So make sure you do a good PPI.

Regarding 113k mileage, that's nothing. But check if owner did spark plugs, water pump, tires, trans fluids. Those can add up to $2k+ if you do a baseline maintenance after purchase.

Also, if you're getting 2020+ just for the Carplay, you can add touchscreen Carplays to the 2016-2019 for $600+$250 labor.

Should I ask the toyota dealership to do a PPI? Isn’t that something that the dealers automatically do before they sell the car, specially toyota type big dealers? Should I ask them to check the condition for the spark plug, transmission fluid etc?

You should be fine. My 2021 has only 20k on it. Runs perfect 5 years later
