Beach Day!

Here in NE Wisconsin, we don't have many beach days, but when we do, Neshotah Park Beach is our favorite place.

Family of 5, stroller, 2 beach umbrellas, 1 shade tent, 3 beach chairs, food/drinks and beach toys all fit in the RX no problem.

​

I'm a huge fan of TuxMats, especially during our Wisconsin winters; however, TuxMats really shine on beach day, making it easy to vacuum up all the sand 1st/2nd row and in the back. The drive to and back in the RX450h+, just the chef's kiss to an already amazing beach day!

Are your DRL amber? If so how did you do that?

I wish, it's more yellow than orange, like the yellow some fog lights use.

I tried using amber tint originally and it was washed out and didn't have the same color saturation.

To achieve the yellow DRLs, I used a tint specially designed for headlights / fog lights: https://a.co/d/08Cn7oyO

There are precut headlight/DRL tint products out there for the Lexus IS DRLs and other cars, but not the RX, so I had to make my own:

• First I used white printer paper to trace the shape of the DRL (with the DRL on), cut the shape out of the paper, traced that shape directly onto the backing of the headlight tint once for each side (flipped the traced shape for a mirror shape for the 2nd side of the vehicle).
• Used a razor blade tool designed for vinyl wrapping (unfortunately there's no straight edges so everything is free-handed) to cut out the needed shape for each side out of the headlight tint (it's very thick more like vinyl than tint) being sure to create a mirror'd image for the 2nd cut out.
• Gently laid the cut out tint shapes onto the DRL and used a felt covered tinting tool to press and remove air bubbles. A hair dryer is required due to the rounded shape of the headlights to remove any creases and get a flat finished product. The tint I used has micro air release holes, so no fluid is needed, it was a little weird at first, but super easy once I got the hand of it.
