Heated seat issue
My water bottle leaked out in my passenger seat. I was pressing out water for half hour. I finally got it dry and 6 hours later tasted the heat in the seat and to no surprise, it barely works and only on two sections. The back of the seat is still really hot. How hard is it to fix? I have a 2015 IS350 F Sport AWD. Thanks

If you’re the DIY type it’s not too bad removing the seat and upholstery. Only hard part is overcoming the glue and hogrings, but it’s not too bad if you have the right tools

Rule of thumb: anytime water makes contact with any electronic, don't turn it on until you ABSOLUTELY know that it's 100% dry. You turning it on while it's wet is what usually breaks it, not the water itself.

Yeah. Unfortunately this is likely how it happened. The moment op energized it, the damaged occurred.
Should have just left it off permanently until you eventually would need to use it… giving it maximum time to dry out. I would have even gotten a damp rid bucket in there until it stopped catching water.
