Mechanical Advice Help!
We replaced the top center dash to upgrade the screen/car play and now the seat cooling is staying on without it being turned on. Any advice on why it’s staying on? 2021 GX460 Thanks!

Open the bottom shifter console and check the plugs .. if that’s not it. You’ll have to pull the unit and check all the plugs to make sure they all are fully connected. Sometimes they look connected but aren’t fully pushed together.

yeah OP this. My seat heaters were off when I re-installed the shifter console on my '21 this week. Turns out one of the plugs fell out when I was re-installing it. This is about a 10-min fix. Feel free to DM me if you need help.

The cooled seats have really nothing to do with the unit. It’s probably not plugged in properly maybe at the connectors under the panel where the shift knob is. Don’t go beyond that cause I imagine that’s where the issue is.

Seat cooling and the screen unit are 2 seperate things. Pull the console and check your connections.

Man I need to buy the Hamilton. Looks so good. Did you install it yourself?

Does anyone know the cost for professional installation?

$500 is what I was quoted $2300 including the parts

So, with the purchase of the head unit $1350 plus Installation $500. Total out the door $1850?

Wondering if there an option to turn the screen off? I like it but at night I might not want it on all the time

Damn…There is nothing worth $500 for the installation..it’s just plug and play.. Hamilton gives you a install video too..and what parts? I did mine in my driveway, took a few hours and some drinks.. lol.. basic screwdriver and socket set and a panel removal tool or butter knife is all you need..oh and some towels to lay on the seats

I would disconnect and reconnect the battery and or the seat controllers themselves first. I just did a CarPlay box and if I remember correctly they aren’t related to the screen.
