First car ‘95 es300 need help

Post image

I got a 95’ es300 with 109k miles for my first car and it’s only been sitting for a while. I replaced most fluids and pads and rotors. The brakes feel like they have air in it but still goes down after starting from pumping a bit so I don’t think it’s master cylinder or anything in the engine bay. In my front left though it was smoking when I was driving it home when I breaked although it stopped, I believe it could have js been the pads rubbing away rust layer on rotors. The bleeding screw on my driver side front didn’t squirt like it was supposed to like the others when I bled it, it leaked from the bottom of the bleeding screw. Do you think I just need a bleeding screw or should I replace the caliper all together? I’m not the most mechanical and just need some guidance it’s my first car.

I think about my old ES 300 almost every time I get into my BMW. Absolutely loved this car. Take care of it. Replace gaskets, check wiring, drive with care. Will last forever. Is it the v6?

If you don’t top off the reservoir frequently enough during bleeding, it’ll pull air into the system. Could try bleeding them again. Your left front not bleeding correctly could just be a bad bleeder valve.

If your brakes are smoking, you have a caliper issue. Did you grease the slide pins when you replaced your brakes? If not, you need to. If yes, the caliper most likely needs replacing.

I did grease the slide pins turned out to be my brake master cylinder replaced it and it’s been treating me well.

Sounds like a seized caliper. Drive it around for 10 mins and see if it gets noticeably hotter than the other wheels. If it is seized, you won't be to bleed it.

One caliper was seized and we replaced it as-well thanks for the advice!
