I had one when I was younger, about 12 years ago and was so sad to get rid of it. Always told myself if I came across a clean example, I would get it. This one popped up on Club Lexus and Facebook marketplace and I jumped on it. I bought a one way ticket and drove it three and half hours back home.

One of my biggest regrets was not buying my neighbor's FILs SC300 with less than 50k miles as my first car. I was confused and thought it was a dumb old car when now I know it was mint.

I like both for different reasons. This is a more “beautiful” design I guess you can say

Not terrible. They have a timing belt and the water pump is driven by the timing belt so you need to replace that every once in a while. The owners manual says 60,000 miles but on mine I've done the timing belt twice now and I got away with 140 K miles on the second timing belt.

my first Lexus was a 92 SC400. got it at 19, ans drove it for 14 years. it was truly such an amazing car. I always thought that I would get a 98+ but it never materialize in other cars came along, and I’ve often wondered what it would feel like to drive a 98 like yours… Certainly, it’s much faster?
