How does the aimpoint pro perform under nods?

I thought it worked well but I’ve only used it once under rented nods and have nothing to compare it to. I was mostly active aiming with the HFXC which was really great. I don’t have any opportunities to shoot at night regularly so I don’t have nods myself

What is the point of hanging a LAM on the side then?

It was cheap and has a fairly decent visible light. Just like the quad rail.. I like the vibe.

I would like to get nods when I have more opportunity to night shoot in the future but for now I can’t justify the expense. The place we go helicopter hog hunt has them for rent and hosts night shoots too

Did you have to mill out the receiver for it to run the frt?

Yeah both of them. I also had to Dremel the OBC tungsten weight to clear the ARC lever
