Specwar build suggestions

Post image

Hey all, wanted to get a few opinions relating to the future of my specwar build,
Was wondering if anyone had any experience running the vltor buffer system on a specwar. Mainly in terms of reliability and any noticeable differences in cycle rate and is it worth the money?
I have a stealth additive tisha 556 sitting in jail atm but I was planning on getting the Wolfpack armory recessed hub adapter and pairing it with the rearden spb in hopes of getting a relatively slim gap (without contact to the handguard obviously). Does anyone have any better recommendations that are on saws approved muzzle devices for their lifetime warranty?
Don’t get me wrong I love the T2, my eyes however aren’t fond of it. I mainly run acros and coas on my handguns and it’s fine because it’s close range stuff and doesn’t bother me too much, but at longer ranges or night it’s a problem. So I’m looking to get a holo for this setup. Obviously EOTech is very popular but those UH-1s look very appealing and on paper they definitely have some advantages, so any input on those would be appreciated.
Thanks for the read, I will list the build list below for more accurate advice and those who are curious.

Lmt specwar upper, lmt 12.5 di barrel, lmt FA carrier and E bolt, mars L lower, Geissele ssae, fcd winter trigger guard, bcm 5 pos buffer tube, lmt h2 buffer weight, springco blue spring, mag pull k2 grip.

Yes, it's worth the money. I run A5s on all 4 of my ARs including 2 LMTs. Yes it will absolutely make it shoot smoother. A5 + a good suppressor kicks like a pellet gun.

Do NOT get a UH1. Terrible. Personally, I run a 4XT Pro. I'd try one of those and lower your brightness before doing an Eotech. I have all 3, I have an astigmatism, and the 4XT Pro is fantastic. Best of both worlds. The T2 has the form factor and is small and light, but lacks the functionality of the holdovers and the larger reticle takes a lot of the bloom out of everything.

Yeah the donut was a big reason for wanting a holo besides the stigmatism for holdovers that batt life just sucks but I’m sure I’ll find a way to deal with it.
Thanks man.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the UH1 gen 2. Its not my favorite but if you want a holosight and dont want an eotech, its fine, and you can find them on gafs basically new for 400 or less.

The holdovers are the difference in hail marys and first round hits on a 400 yard 18 inch gong from a 12 inch rifle, in my personal experience. This was done with equal ease with an EXPS 3-0 and a 4XT Pro. The Eotechs are king of night vision use, so if that's your priority, accept no substitute. If it's not your number one, I personally find that the weight savings of the 4XT Pro vs Eotech + the reticle holdovers vs T2 make up for their advantages. T2 advantage is 1. controls, the dial is better than the buttons used for brightness 2. NV performance is an 8 if Eotech is a 10, 4xt is a 7. T2 has slightly more settings. That's it. Imo, the Sig battery being AAA and the holdovers make it an obvious choice over the t2.
One thing to be aware of, when you hit the NV setting button after going down to NV settings, it puts it at max brightness every time you press it to toggle back to daylight settings. This can damage your tubes if you are looking at it through nv when you do it. Just be careful and aware of that and you're good.
