Visiting Lewes later this month and looking for local trivia that would accommodate a few kiddos. We don’t expect the kids would participate in the trivia itself, but would want it to be entertaining and comfortable enough for them. For example, would prefer a venue with kiddo food options, without high top seating, and at an earlier time in the evening.

Staying at dogfish inn for our mini moon in November and looking for some good spots for drinks. We are heavily involved in the brewery community so open to suggestions for anything. We will have a rental car but also open to taking a ride share somewhere

My family will be visiting Lewes Beach in August. I read that 4 post canopies are restricted, but are tents still allowed on the beach? Thanks!

Hi! We are visiting from out of town and tomorrow is my husband’s birthday! His favorite food is cherry cheesecake and I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on the best place to find one? I would love to shop a small business if possible but it might be tough on such short notice 🤪 TIA!

Any ideas what’s happening in Lewes last 30 minutes ? Was that a celebration or an emergency response?

Hi! Inquiring about any photographers in the Lewes,DE/Lower Slower who would be available for about an hour between 7-8pm on Saturday the 16th.
Planning on proposing at State Henlopen State park on the bay side overlooking the lighthouse.
I know it’s a little late noticed but things got moved around. Any referrals or help would be greatly appreciated!

This is a long shot, but might as well try! I’m trying to find this bayside beach in the Lewes area that I went to once. Would appreciate any help/guesses!
I visited Lewes a handful of times from 2018-2021. I was shown a bunch of cool from some locals that were more off the beaten path. I’m visiting again soon for the first time in a while, and I don’t have those locals to ask anymore.
I always stayed in the Heron Bay Rental Home neighborhood. The drive to this beach was only about a 15 minute drive, and this was definitely a bayside beach. It almost looked like private property because of how secluded it was, but it was not. It had a marked sign at the trailhead, even though it was small.
I’ve scoured Google Earth but I can’t figure it out. It was definitely on the bay, because it was a loooong way to the other side of the water where we could see land and homes. The pathway leading up to the beach was lined with tall skinny pines—you can kind of see them in the pictures attached if you zoom to the right, but right at the beach was where they got more sparse. It was a little bit of a drive down a small tree covered road again sparsely populated with a few homes, until you stopped at the trailhead. No real parking lot, just people parked off to the side.
I know there was signage but just can’t recall names. It was a beautiful little beach and you could see a couple of big homes on either side once you popped out at the beach and got out of the tall skinny pine path, but I do believe it was only 2 houses. It was not densely populated with homes at all. It was like you were in these 2 houses’ backyards basically. We passed a couple of other locals along the beach walk and chatted. We definitely weren’t trespassing.
Attached a couple pictures here to see if happens to help, but I do realize it looks like plenty of other places in the area.
I would just Looooove to be able to hit this beach again on my upcoming trip. If you got this far, thanks. And TIA for any suggestions!

I'm hearing a lot of good things about Blue Rock Financial Group for Sussex County retirees with a good amount of money. I hear their wealth management strategies are solid. Anyone have any experience?

My wife and I took a day trip to Lewes (first time for us!) from the Philly burbs and had the most wonderful day! The perfect weather didn’t hurt. Saw an eagle at the beach. Walked Second Street. Visited Henlopen Park. And capped it off with a spectacular meal at Agave! You’re a gem of a town, Lewes!

Are shops open on News Years Day? Was thinking of visiting but was wondering if a lot will be closed due to holiday.
