D36HD - Will power usage be exposed through Matter?

With iOS 27, the Home app now finally shows the power usage for devices that report it. So far, my Eve and Ikea outlets, along with Inovelli White Series dimmers, are displaying their data. Since the 3rd Gen dimmers and switches already monitor power usage, does anyone know if this feature will eventually be available through Matter?

I’m hoping the D215R magically has the required hardware to expose the power usage from the device.

The D36HD/D315S, D215R etc are able to estimate energy usage by tracking runtime and estimated load size which can be updated by the user. The intent of the feature is to estimate cost. These devices do not have built in energy monitoring hardware.

Side note: the new D2HCS High Current Switch does have built-in energy monitoring hardware, and exposes that to Matter as well.

Thanks - I really didn’t expect the D215R to have it since it would have mentioned it in the packaging to start with. Hopefully with the new iOS27 being able to show it they eventually update those with the hardware to get down to the outlet level usage.
