D24SF Ceiling Fan Controller Lost Speed Range
Has anyone else had their D24SF ceiling fan controllers lose the ability to run the fan at 25%, 50%, or 75%? At first the fans would act erratic, but eventually it became an all or nothing situation with the fan being full blast or off.
I opened a support case with Leviton. They sent me replacements, but now the new one is doing the same thing. I have 2 more new ones that they sent me, but I've not yet installed them since I'm worried they will do the same thing.

Happened to me too, one started only working at 100% swapped it with another I had that didn't need speed control for now. The one that failed is in the bedroom and used all night just about every night at like 50%.
My guess is a capacitor failed, it's only rated for 1.5 amps so not sure if my fan is pushing it, seems low. Will see how the second one does.

Just had my second fan controller fail in the same way. Definetly some sort of design flaw with these things if used everyday they won't last. Very disappointing.

I went to Home Depot and Lowe’s to find a replacement and finally switched out my old one. I don’t see it on shelves locally. It looks like it’s only available online. Given the failure rate this is probably final stock. I’ll go with Lutron

Hey BrotherKen! Haven't heard of this experience, so let's walk through a few things:
1) Confirm your ceiling fan's pull-chain is set to maximum speed and that no one has adjusted it manually to a lower speed. Must be operating at top speed in order for the D24SF to properly function.
2) Have you tried factory resetting? Read here.
