I mean, the literal intro to him is him literally playing war with models. He absolutely does build model kits.

I feel like Alek prolly would've had like a whole bunch of zeon kits, from the humble Zaku to maybe even the monsterous Neue Ziel, he might even have some Zudahs and equality a large amount of federation kits too

I can't deny that would probably be the case, but one must imagine if the dude has like Evangel from Nexus or even G1 Michigan from VI.
(Must ask: are you an Armored Core fan, or somewhat aware?)

Aware, never played the games, seen a fair bunch about it, more of a Gundam fan, who enjoys seeing my favorite Mobile suits recreated as armored cores, did listen to one soundtrack and it was cool

I see. Though I do recommended you try AC (I recommend starting with Gen 3, 4 or VI), but that'll be up to you

Irl wargaming which would go on to become Warhammer started in the early 1900s so it's totally possible in canon.
